Misfortunes never come singly. While Wang Jing was speaking with Liu Peiqiang, the lights in the base suddenly went out, plunging everything into darkness before the emergency red lights flickered on, casting a crimson glow over the facility.

Yet not all the news was bad. Bumblebee had successfully compressed the massive AllSpark into a cube no larger than a human head.

“How are things with Megatron’s explosives?” Wang Jing asked over the comms.

“They’re all set, but Megatron’s core temperature is spiking—he’s about to wake up!”

“Then evacuate and detonate the bombs immediately!”

“Yes, sir!”

As the call ended, Wang Jing glanced at Bumblebee, who was holding the AllSpark. “The Decepticons are coming. Optimus and the others won’t be able to hold them off for long. We have to get out of here—now!”

“Wait! Who exactly are you people? This is a United States military base. No one can attack America and walk away unscathed,” the silver-haired Secretary shouted from the side.

Wang Jing strode toward the exit, replying, “Well, I’m afraid this one here isn’t human. As for us, you’ll need to master traveling between parallel worlds before you can catch up!” With that, and leaving the Secretary staring after him in helpless confusion, Wang Jing called out on the comms, “Everyone, regroup! It’s time to withdraw!”

Just then, a bloodcurdling scream came through the communicator: “Megatron’s awake! I repeat, Megatron is awake! Detonate the bomb—now!”

At once, Wang Jing heard a burst of gunfire, followed by an enormous explosion.

Roused from cryogenic slumber, Megatron’s first act was to swat away the tiny “insect” crawling on him and tear the explosives from his neck. Yet before he could throw them clear, the bombs exploded in his grasp.

The devastating blast instantly obliterated Megatron’s left arm, and, with the charges so close to his head, half his face was blown away in the inferno.

Roaring in agony, Megatron suppressed the pain in his face and arm as he came under attack from the expeditionary force above. Without hesitation, he transformed into an alien jet and streaked through the tunnel to escape.

“Report: Megatron has fled, but the explosion severely damaged his left arm and half his face,” someone relayed over the comms, causing Wang Jing to frown.

“All units, recover the wounded and the fallen—evacuate immediately!” Wang Jing ordered.

As soon as he gave the command, Bumblebee stepped forward, holding out the AllSpark, and through his radio said, “The Grail is yours now. The captain needs me.”

Wang Jing couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy at this, but the moment he took the AllSpark, he felt an immense energy pour into his body. For an instant, he felt as if he could punch a Transformer to death with his bare hands, though common sense told him it was just an illusion.

By now, the entire expeditionary force had assembled for evacuation. Wang Jing noticed many were being helped or carried—victims, no doubt, of the battle with Megatron.

This time, instead of searching for a power source to recharge himself, Wang Jing activated the teleportation system directly. In the next instant, the entire expeditionary force was transported back.

The feat surprised him; he had expected his powers could only teleport half the group at most, but they all made it through in one go.

He didn’t linger on the surprise. After entrusting the AllSpark to Song Guohua for safekeeping, Wang Jing donned his exoskeletal armor and crossed back into the Transformers’ dimension.

As Wang Jing reappeared, the Secretary tried to approach and question him, but Wang Jing ignored him, sprinting quickly away.

Meanwhile, Megatron, bursting out of the base, didn’t slow down but instead crashed straight into Optimus, who was locked in combat with Starscream.

Caught off guard, Optimus was sent flying. Megatron transformed back into his humanoid form, his right arm morphing into a thick cannon, and fired several shots at Optimus, who narrowly dodged them all.

“Starscream, where is the AllSpark?” Megatron demanded furiously.

“Lord Megatron, they took it!” Starscream said, pointing to Optimus, who was just getting back to his feet.

“Ah! Starscream, you never fail to disappoint me! Get me the AllSpark—now!” Megatron bellowed.

“Yes, Lord Megatron!” Starscream took off, flying toward the interior of the Hoover Dam.

From the perimeter, Liu Peiqiang witnessed this and immediately hailed Wang Jing. “Wang Jing, a Decepticon is heading your way!”

Wang Jing, making his way out, instantly tensed. At that moment, he spotted a sneaky figure—it was Frenzy, the Decepticon.

Wang Jing leveled his grenade launcher, took aim, and in the next second, a 50mm round struck Frenzy squarely, slicing him in two.

He stepped forward and, seeing Frenzy still writhing on the ground, brought the severed Decepticon back to the main realm.

Two seconds after Wang Jing vanished, Starscream, now in F-22 jet mode, roared into the scene.

Transformed back into his robot form, Starscream sniffed the air and grinned. “Come out, little bug—I can smell your stench. Show yourself and let me crush your tiny head!”

Back in the main realm, Wang Jing immediately ordered a high-strength tempered glass box, into which he tossed the mutilated Frenzy.

Inside, Frenzy fired his weapon wildly at the bulletproof glass, shrieking in panic. His lower half, meanwhile, was carefully collected by the research team.

Having finished, Wang Jing summoned ten Alice clones and instructed each to prepare an anti-tank missile.

Once all ten were armed with rocket launchers, Wang Jing said, “On the other side, there’s a Decepticon named Starscream. When we cross over, if you see him, fire immediately—take him down in one volley if possible!”

When all the Alice clones had disengaged the safeties on their rocket launchers, Wang Jing led them through the portal.

Back at the base, Starscream, unable to find Wang Jing, was rampaging furiously. Spotting the Secretary, he lunged and seized him in his hand.

Holding the Secretary up to his face, green drool dripping from his mouth, Starscream snarled, “Tell me where the big cube is, or I’ll eat you!”

He roared a few times to emphasize his point, spattering the Secretary’s face with foul green saliva.

It was now clear to the Secretary that this robot and the previous one were not on the same side.

Just as the Secretary was about to reveal that Wang Jing had taken the cube, eleven anti-tank missiles streaked toward Starscream’s back, trailing flames. Realizing the danger, Starscream tried to dodge, but the thunderous explosions echoed through the vast base, rocking the entire facility.

Before the smoke had cleared, Starscream was coughing up machine oil, clutching his shattered chest as he stumbled toward the exit, firing wildly in Wang Jing’s direction. Rockets and bullets flew in all directions.

The Secretary, who had been clutched in Starscream’s hand, was flung aside. Though gravely injured, he survived.

Seeing Starscream attempting to escape, Wang Jing tossed aside his rocket launcher, grabbed a grenade launcher, and opened fire on the fleeing Decepticon. The Alice clones followed suit, hefting their own grenade launchers and adding heavy weapons fire into the fray, providing overwhelming support.
