November 22, 2017. In an old residential house in a certain district of a certain city, it was midday.

The view lingers on the second floor of the old house, peering inward from the balcony. Through the balcony, one can see everything inside the living room. A television in the living room is broadcasting the midday news. The entire scene is hazy, the distant perspective barely allowing a glimpse of the television screen. The news anchor is speaking.

Anchor: This morning, shortly after 9 a.m., a white minivan was discovered crashed halfway down the mountainside in the Guanshan Lake Scenic Area. Two people were found dead inside the vehicle, while one other person, critically injured, is being rescued. The identities of the victims have yet to be confirmed...

The timeline shifts to May 2, 2019.

This is Jason's office. It is evening. All the company’s employees have already left work, and only he remains, sitting alone at his desk, using his computer. On the screen is an international website for high-IQ games. Jason is playing a game, and in the end, he loses by 21 points to a player named “Elvin.”

Jason can’t help but say, “Her again?”

At that moment, the bottom right corner of his screen begins to blink, signaling a new message. He clicks on it and sees that someone wants to add him as a friend—it is that very player named “Elvin.” He accepts the request, and a chat window pops up; watching the content appear on the screen, Jason’s expression becomes one of amusement.
