“Ah!” Chu Feng was dumbfounded at her words.

“What, you don’t like my bed?” Long Yue glared at him. “Or is it that you prefer Sister Qiu Xue’s bed?”

“That’s not the same thing at all!” Chu Feng replied, at a loss.

“It’s exactly the same.” Long Yue huffed playfully, clutching his arm tightly.

His arm pressed close against her chest, Chu Feng could feel the softness through the thin cloth. He felt his mind drifting, his heart in turmoil.

He could no longer compose himself, overwhelmed by a dizzying happiness, embarrassment creeping onto his face. “Isn’t this a bit too soon?” he murmured awkwardly.

Chu Feng understood that though they had grown up together, it was only after entering the Spirit Battle Hall and meeting Long Yue again that his feelings had changed.

“A girl’s already said this, and you still won’t agree? Are you shy, Brother Feng? Didn’t we always sleep together when we were little?” Long Yue said.

“Oh,” Chu Feng replied.

Though her cheeks flushed pink, Long Yue broke into a mischievous smile, her lips brushing his ear as she whispered, “But, bad brother, we’re just sleeping, okay? No funny business!”

“Demon!” Chu Feng howled inwardly, staring at her. “Xiao Yue, it seems you’ve really grown up—and turned naughty!”

That night, in Long Yue’s villa, the two lay side by side on the bed, quietly nestled together.

They talked about many things: childhood memories, Chu Feng’s journey in body cultivation, and the upcoming Sacred Trial.

Chu Feng was filled with anticipation for the Sacred Trial, convinced it would bring great gains.

For the Sacred Trial, the five elders would judge each participant’s performance. If deemed worthy, one could obtain a powerful secret art from the Heavenly Treasure Hall’s collection. Long Yue hoped to acquire the strongest human secret art, and with her current strength, she was the most promising candidate in the entire Heaven Camp.

They spoke for a long while. As long as there was conversation, Chu Feng felt at ease, but in the silence that followed, he found it impossible to remain calm. After all, he was a man; what normal man could stay composed while lying beside such a captivating beauty?

“Brother Feng, where are you putting your hand?”

“Oh, sorry, my hand seems to have a mind of its own.”

A brief silence fell between them…

“Bad boy, is your hand misbehaving again?”

“Oh, my apologies, my apologies.”

After a little while, Long Yue nestled against his chest, her head on his shoulder, gazing at him with warmth. “Brother Feng, will you always love me?”

“Of course I will. I want to grow stronger so I can go on missions with you, Xiao Yue. That way, I can always be by your side,” Chu Feng replied tenderly.

“Brother Feng, if I were gone someday, would you be sad?” Long Yue asked softly.

“Silly girl, what nonsense. How could you be gone?”

“I’m just saying, if…”

“Then I’d be heartbroken. So, to keep Brother Feng from being sad, you can’t ever disappear, Xiao Yue. I’m training so hard now just so I can be with you every day.”

“I really want to be with you forever!” Long Yue said, crystalline tears sliding from the corners of her eyes.

“I promise you,” Chu Feng replied, turning to look at her. He paused, surprised. “Silly girl, why are you crying?”

“I’m just happy.”

Chu Feng reached out to wipe away her tears, caressing her cheek, about to offer more comfort, when Long Yue suddenly rolled on top of him and pressed her lips to his.

After a passionate kiss, Long Yue lifted her head, gazing at him, her cheeks aglow, and whispered, “Let me be your woman, Brother Feng!”

“Xiao Yue!” Chu Feng called her name with deep feeling, and they kissed again, even more fervently.

Beneath the soft quilt, their bodies intertwined. With heavy breaths, their underclothes slipped to the floor.

“Mmm… Brother Feng… I want…”

“I’m here.”

“Mmm… ah… it hurts a little… Brother Feng, be… be gentle…”

“I’m sorry, I will.”

“Mmm… ah… ahh… mmm…”

Gradually, the room filled with sighs of pleasure. That night, they broke through their final barrier, their lives entwined in a memory neither would ever forget.

The next day, it was nearly noon when Chu Feng and Long Yue finally left the villa. They had barely stepped outside when they ran into Murong Qiu Xue.

Seeing them, Qiu Xue flashed a wicked grin, her eyes flickering over them. “Well, you two, did you have a pleasant night?”

Since the two villas were close, Murong Qiu Xue had seen them return together last night.

“Sister Qiu Xue!” Long Yue’s face turned crimson as she clung to Chu Feng’s arm, wishing she could sink into the ground. Even Chu Feng looked embarrassed, an awkwardness showing on his face.

“A night of spring is worth a thousand pieces of gold. Perfectly understandable,” Qiu Xue teased, clearly delighted.

Long Yue was mortified and ducked behind Chu Feng.

“Uh…” Chu Feng stared at Qiu Xue, at a loss for words.

Qiu Xue walked over, took Long Yue’s hand, and smiled. “Sister, remember, we still have important business to attend to. You can get cozy with your Brother Feng in a few days.”

Long Yue snapped to attention—there really was something she’d promised to help Qiu Xue with: dealing with Liu Yantao. But the mention of “getting cozy” made her blush even deeper. In a flustered fit, she let go and gave Qiu Xue’s ample chest a hard squeeze.

“Ah!” Qiu Xue yelped, shocked by Long Yue’s boldness.

“Seems you’ve really been corrupted!” Qiu Xue laughed, then retaliated with a squeeze of her own.

For a moment, the two women tussled, leaving Chu Feng frozen in astonishment.

With business to attend to, they left together, though Chu Feng was reluctant. They agreed to meet again in a few days, but as he watched the two women go, noting the murderous glint in their eyes, he couldn’t help but feel uneasy.

Chu Feng left the Spirit Battle Hall and went to the Guest Pavilion, where he prepared fine food and wine, then set off for the Spirit Medicine Hall to visit Master Jin.

Master Jin was a legendary alchemist, so revered that even the Spirit Medicine Hall’s own members rarely saw him. But Chu Feng was an exception.

Chu Feng was deeply grateful to Master Jin, who, in turn, sincerely admired Chu Feng and was pleased by his visit.

“Already comparable to a mid-sixth-rank Earth Spirit Warrior?” Master Jin exclaimed, surprised by Chu Feng’s progress. After all, it had only been a little over a year.

They chatted for a long time, and finally, Chu Feng raised a matter that was another reason for his visit.

It concerned Xiao Yue. Chu Feng believed that if even a legendary alchemist like Master Jin couldn’t cure Xiao Yue’s poisoning, then no one in the world could.

Master Jin had lived in seclusion for more than twenty years and rarely intervened, even for the ten great clans.

Chu Feng was reluctant to trouble him with outside matters, but he truly hoped Xiao Yue could be cured.

When Chu Feng explained the situation, Master Jin agreed to help.

Chu Feng described Xiao Yue’s condition in detail. Master Jin frowned, seeming to deduce something, but he wasn’t certain.

“How interesting… could it be that legendary, long-lost poison?” he muttered. Looking at Chu Feng, he said, “Bring him to me for a thorough examination.”

“Thank you, Master!” Chu Feng said, deeply moved.

Back at Xiao Yue’s residence in the Spirit Battle Hall, when he learned of Master Jin’s willingness to help, Xiao Yue was overjoyed.

After being poisoned years ago, the Xiao clan had tried everything, to no avail. Xiao Yue had long since given up hope; never did he expect such an opportunity would present itself.

Judging from Master Jin’s reaction, perhaps there was hope yet.

Without delay, Xiao Yue followed Chu Feng to Master Jin’s private quarters.

“Xiao Yue greets Master Jin!” he said respectfully.

“Sit,” Master Jin nodded.

He spread his fingers and pressed several seals onto Xiao Yue’s back, examining him, then sat down with a sigh. “I never thought I’d encounter this lost poison in my lifetime.”

Xiao Yue’s expression changed. “Master Jin, may I ask—what kind of poison is it?”

“Spirit-Eater Powder,” Master Jin replied, looking at both Xiao Yue and Chu Feng. “As you know, it’s not fatal, but it steadily erodes the foundation of one’s cultivation, draining away your potential. That you’ve managed to reach sixth-rank Earth Spirit Warrior again is already a miracle. But with the poison still in you, advancing further would be almost impossible.”

“Master Jin, can this poison be cured?” Xiao Yue asked.

“It would be extraordinarily difficult!” Master Jin sighed.

Their hearts sank. If even Master Jin called it extraordinarily difficult, the challenge could hardly be overstated.

Master Jin went on, “This poison has been lost for ages; no one alive can refine it. Whoever poisoned you must have found it in some ancient ruin. Even if a prescription still existed, the main ingredient—Ghostshade Herb—only grows in one place, and that place has long since been destroyed. Even I cannot prepare the antidote. In truth, there’s only one way left.”

“What is it?” Xiao Yue asked, his voice trembling with hope.

“To refine a King Detoxification Pill. This pill can cure any poison in the world. Even those that could threaten a Saint Spirit Warrior would be easily neutralized.”

Both Xiao Yue and Chu Feng were stunned. They finally understood why Master Jin had said it was so difficult. Such a miraculous pill must be nearly impossible to make.

“Master Jin, is it very difficult to refine this King Detoxification Pill?” Chu Feng asked.

“With my abilities, I can refine it,” Master Jin replied. “But the ingredients are extremely rare. Most are possible to find, but one is nearly unobtainable.”

“Which one?” Chu Feng asked.

“Dragon bone,” Master Jin said.
