Chapter 119: Nameless
After the wound near the heart was fully healed, the two soon felt the long-dormant heart begin to beat once more.
A Holy Spirit warrior can survive even without a heart, though their strength would inevitably be somewhat diminished.
According to Long Yue, this senior had his heart pierced and sealed for far too long. Even with a full revival, his power would likely be far weaker than before, requiring a long time to fully recover.
Before long, the pale complexion of the body gradually flushed with color. His hands regained sensation, and his fingers began to move.
Chu Feng and Long Yue stood nearby, clearly sensing a rising aura of overwhelming pressure emanating from the body. This pressure grew so intense that even Chu Feng and Long Yue had to take a step back.
“The senior’s power is gradually reviving,” Long Yue remarked.
Even from afar, the two could feel a domineering and earth-shaking presence.
Suddenly, a mighty roar erupted from the high platform above, stirring their blood and making the entire space seem to tremble.
As the sound faded and the pressure dissipated, Chu Feng and Long Yue ascended the platform once more. Only then did the young man in the green robe slowly open his eyes.
He rose from the ground, glanced around, and finally fixed his gaze on Chu Feng and Long Yue, a look of confusion on his face. He muttered in a daze, “Where is this? Who are you?”
Chu Feng and Long Yue exchanged glances; it seemed this green-robed man had temporarily lost his memory—perhaps a consequence of being sealed for so long.
“Senior, do you not remember who you are?” Chu Feng asked.
The man thought for a moment, but his mind was blank. He shook his head and said, “It seems I have forgotten everything. How strange.”
Though his past was erased, the green-robed man retained his wisdom. It was as if instinctively, he quickly deduced that his awakening must be connected to these two young individuals before him.
“Can you tell me what happened?” he asked.
Chu Feng then recounted the tale of the senior’s sealing and how they had saved him. The man fell silent for a while before clasping his fists and saying, “I truly thank you both.”
Long Yue comforted him, “Senior, rest assured. The amnesia is likely temporary due to the long sealing. You will recall everything in time.”
Chu Feng added, “If you return to the Holy City, I’m sure there will be those who recognize you.”
The man nodded. He seemed once to have been a carefree and magnanimous person. Since he could not remember now, he decided not to dwell on it for the moment. He then asked, “May I ask your names?”
“I am Chu Feng,” Chu Feng replied.
“I am Long Yue,” Long Yue said.
“Chu Feng, Long Yue. Very well, I will remember these names. You two are my benefactors, and I will surely repay the life-saving kindness you have shown me,” the green-robed man said.
“Senior, you’re too polite,” Chu Feng said.
The man waved his hand. “I may look older, but I’m not much senior to you—just wasted many years in sealing. Let’s drop the formalities. Chu brother, Long sister, if you don’t mind, just call me Brother Nameless.”
“That doesn’t sound quite right,” Chu Feng replied.
The man patted Chu Feng’s shoulder. “What do you mean, not right? Do you look down on me, brother?”
“No, no!” Chu Feng hurried to say, though in his heart he was moved by the senior’s frankness. Inspired, he called out, “Brother Nameless!”
“Good! Chu brother is such an open-hearted person. You must be a hero of your generation,” the man said, then turned to Long Yue. “Long sister, if Brother Nameless were reborn, you two are not only my benefactors but also my friends. To meet here like this must be fate!”
Long Yue hesitated briefly, then nodded. “Pleased to meet you, Brother… Brother Nameless.”
“Excellent!” The man laughed heartily, exuding a bold, heroic spirit.
Chu Feng proceeded to update him on the current situation.
“So this is an ancient relic site. I never expected to be sealed in such a place. I wonder who did this—it is truly mysterious,” the man mused.
He released a powerful mental aura, instantly sweeping over the entire mansion, even penetrating underground, but found nothing.
The only thing that intrigued him was the high platform, though he could not explain why. The bronze door was destroyed, so there was little hope of discovery.
Upon learning nothing more could be found, Chu Feng and Long Yue saw no need to continue searching. It seemed all the treasures left by the Heavenly Sovereign had long since been plundered.
Still, they were not disappointed; at least they had rescued a human stronghold here.
The three then left the mansion. Chu Feng took down the plaque, which shrank automatically.
The exit proved easier to find than expected. Once the plaque had shrunk, a portal of light appeared in front of the mansion.
The three stepped through and suddenly found themselves atop the ruins of Ancient Lin City.
At that moment, the Eagle Warship hovering above swiftly landed nearby. More than a dozen people rushed over excitedly, all asking, “Lord, we’re so glad you’re safe.”
Over the past two years, Chu Feng had always been down-to-earth before these men, which only deepened their admiration and concern for his safety.
“Thank you all for your concern. I’m fine,” Chu Feng said.
The group boarded the Eagle Warship and headed straight for Yuehu City, the closest major settlement.
“Brother Nameless, let’s travel around for a few days. Maybe before we return to Holy City, your memories will come back,” Chu Feng suggested.
“That sounds good. But good wine and fine food are a must,” the man smiled.
“So you’re a connoisseur too. A true friend deserves countless drinks. Leave that to me,” Chu Feng laughed.
When the Eagle Warship reached Yuehu City, they did not enter directly to avoid drawing attention. Chu Feng preferred to keep a low profile.
Thus, the ship landed atop a nearby mountain peak outside the city.
Chu Feng, Long Yue, and Brother Nameless entered Yuehu City on foot. The guards aboard the ship could move about freely as long as some remained to watch it.
Yuehu City was no stranger to Chu Feng, having stayed here for a few days before. However, this time he did not wish to disturb the city’s lord.
After some inquiry, he found the finest tavern in the city.
The three found themselves like-minded, drinking and conversing with great joy.
They stayed in Yuehu City for three days. One day, Brother Nameless suddenly bid farewell to Chu Feng and Long Yue.
“Brother Nameless, are you not returning to Holy City?” Chu Feng asked.
“Not for now. I want to travel around a bit,” the man said, sitting by the window and gazing at the sky. Then he turned back and added, “I seem to recall something and want to verify it. I believe we will meet again someday. Next time, the two brothers must drink heartily together.”
“All right! We will drink to that,” Chu Feng promised.
They saw Brother Nameless out of Yuehu City. The man smiled at them and then soared into the sky.
As for Chu Feng and Long Yue, they did not return to Yuehu City but soon boarded the Eagle Warship to head for Holy City.
Before long, the Holy Trial commenced again, though this time fewer familiar faces appeared, replaced by many new ones.
After this trial, a new group of students would leave the Spirit Battle Pavilion to enter military service, including Liu Yantao, Murong Qiuxue, and Duan Yi. Long Yue would depart after the next trial.
During this trial, Liu Yantao became a Heavenly Spirit Warrior, and Murong Qiuxue’s strength advanced to early second-tier Heavenly Spirit Warrior.
Long Yue’s talent was exceptional. She had already mastered the third transformation of one of humanity’s strongest secret arts, the “Six Changes of the Golden Spirit.” When unleashed, her combat power tripled.
The most astonishing of all was Chu Feng, whose overwhelming strength deeply shocked everyone.
He indisputably became the top figure of the Heavenly Battalion. Among all students of the Spirit Battle Pavilion, only Long Yue rivaled him, but even she was slightly inferior when utilizing her Golden Spirit transformations.
Moreover, during the Holy Trial, Chu Feng sensed a faint connection with the Domain-Sealing Sword, as if he was on the cusp of achieving the realm of unity between man and sword.
Chu Feng’s innate talent was extraordinary. Several elders believed he was a peerless prodigy who could one day surpass Yu Yang. Even after the trial ended, Chu Feng’s name spread throughout the Spirit Battle Pavilion, hailed as an unshakable legend.
Chu Feng’s rise shattered the Qin family’s hopes of exacting revenge within the military. Qin Hao seethed with hatred, nearly vomiting blood, yet utterly powerless.
Qin Shuhai was a powerful Heavenly Spirit Warrior with considerable standing in the army, but his influence had limits. After all, humanity’s forces were commanded by ten marshals; his status was confined to serving under only one.
Even if he were a common soldier in another marshal’s army, Qin Shuhai might have had a chance at revenge, since the lives of ordinary men mattered little.
But Chu Feng was in a completely different league. As a battalion commander of the Heavenly Battalion, his talent and combat power were extraordinarily high. The five elders believed he could catch up to Yu Yang, a prodigy beyond compare.
The Qin family knew that once Chu Feng entered the army, his status would be extraordinary and he would attract the attention of the marshal himself. Even if Qin Shuhai was stronger, no one would dare lay a finger on Chu Feng.
Now, besides cursing him, the Qin family seemed to have begun fearing for their lives. Their so-called dignity was utterly forgotten.
After sending off Murong Qiuxue and Liu Yantao, Chu Feng prepared to leave the Holy City once again, hoping to find the Dragon Bone—the primary antidote to clear residual poison from Xiao Yue.
When he mentioned this to Long Yue, she revealed a peculiar expression before chuckling softly.
“Brother Feng, why didn’t you say so earlier if you wanted to find Dragon Bone?” she teased.
