Chapter 83: The Man Behind the Gang Boss?
Li Youran is already my woman, and Lin Youya is practically my girlfriend. We have kissed, embraced, and shared the same bed; I have already held Binghan, and only you remain. So, what do you say? Be my woman. Among all the men in this world, only I am worthy of you,” Ling Tian said with a grin as he looked at Song Ziyue.
“Be your woman? I can consider it, but that depends on whether you’re worthy. I, Song Ziyue, do not settle for ordinary men.”
In truth, Song Ziyue did not believe she needed to depend on any man. She saw herself as a tough woman, the kind who needed no protection from anyone. Yet as she grew older, in the stillness of the night her body would often feel a strange emptiness, and that emptiness would seep into her heart as well. Perhaps she ought to find a man. But given who she was, how could she choose carelessly?
She had also thought about finding some man to share her bed, but as a virgin, she truly did not want to give away her first time so casually. How contradictory it all was: she did not want real feelings, and she did not want something cheap and casual either.
Now that Ling Tian had come to her of his own accord, she looked at him with new respect. Especially since Tiger had sung his praises so extravagantly, making him sound almost godlike, she felt this man might be worth considering.
“Then tell me, what would make me worthy of you?” Ling Tian asked when he heard her answer. He knew then that he still had a chance; at the very least, Song Ziyue had said she could consider it.
“Easy. Help me with a few things. When you have nothing to do, stay near me as much as possible. I’ve been dealing with the Jin faction lately, and it’s been a little troublesome. The Northeastern faction seems to have gotten involved too, and even the Yamaguchi syndicate is stirring up trouble. In short, when I’m injured, I want you at my side at once. I’ve heard your medical skills are excellent. That request isn’t too much, is it?”
Song Ziyue did not beat around the bush. She stated her conditions plainly. This, too, was why she had considered Ling Tian in the first place: a man with superb medical skill was a perfect match for her, a gang leader who lived by the edge of a blade.
“Just that?” Ling Tian had not expected this at all. He had thought she would present some difficult test, some thorny problem that only he could solve. Instead, she merely wanted him to rush to her side and treat her whenever she was hurt. That was far too simple.
“Mm. I know it’s a little demanding. After all, you have many women, and the time you can spare for me is limited. So as long as you always appear beside me first whenever I’m injured, you’ll pass.”
Song Ziyue was truly generous, or rather, remarkably understanding. She did not compete for affection or grow jealous at every turn. Hearing this, Ling Tian was deeply moved, and his resolve to make her his wife only grew stronger.
“Yue’er, your request isn’t demanding at all. Appearing at your side first whenever you’re hurt is the most basic duty of a husband. Besides, I’ll help you deal with the Jin faction, the Northeastern faction, and the Yamaguchi syndicate. In short, anyone who stands against you is my sworn enemy. Even if you want to unify the entire underworld of China, or even the world’s underground world, I, as your husband, will do my utmost.”
Ling Tian laid out a string of promises in one breath. They were his vows to a woman, but in truth he had always wanted a taste of the underworld himself, which was why he had stirred Song Ziyue on as her so-called boyfriend.
“I don’t have ambitions that large for now. If people do not provoke me, I will not provoke them. As for dealing with the Jin faction and the Northeastern faction, you do not need to get involved. I can handle it myself. Once you choose this road, there is no turning back.”
As she spoke, Song Ziyue took out a cigarette, lit it, and took a drag before continuing.
“Yue’er, then I have one request of my own. I hope you can do it.” Ling Tian looked at her and said.
“You have demands of me? Don’t tell me it’s about wearing skirts and high heels or something like that. That would make it inconvenient when it’s time to cut people down,” Song Ziyue refused with the self-assurance of someone who had already guessed wrong.
“No. I want you to quit smoking. It’s bad for a girl’s health.”
Ling Tian did not object to cigarettes himself, but he disliked his woman smoking.
“Wait until you catch up to me before you say that. If one day I really become your woman, I’ll quit. I should also tell you something upfront: my chest isn’t very big. I hope you won’t mind.”
She took another drag and spoke as if it were the most ordinary matter in the world.
“Haha, that’s certainly not a problem. I’ll just touch it more often in the future and it’ll grow. Besides, I’m the greatest divine doctor under heaven. If you want them bigger, you can choose any size you like. Even an E cup, I can make it happen.”
In truth, Ling Tian still thought the original was best. But if any of his women wanted to enlarge her chest, he would help.
Song Ziyue was rendered speechless by his words and did not know how to answer. This fellow was too much of a rogue. If he kept talking, he might well start teasing her. According to Tiger, Ling Tian had even teased a busty police beauty while in custody.
Yet hearing Ling Tian speak about touching her chest, deep in her heart there was actually a faint expectation. Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she forced herself to remain calm.
“I have a negotiation with a Jin faction leader tonight. He’s their number two. I need to prepare first. This is the key to my villa; I’ll give you one. You can come find me anytime. I’m leaving now.”
With that, Song Ziyue handed Ling Tian a key and left gracefully without looking back. Even her departing figure carried that relentless, unstoppable momentum.
Watching her go, Ling Tian gave a wry smile, feeling as if their roles had reversed. Song Ziyue had given him the key to her villa and then gone off to negotiate with another gang leader? Damn it, why did he suddenly feel like some pretty-faced kept man?
A dark line seemed to appear across Ling Tian’s forehead. If some trashy website ever wrote nonsense like “The Man Behind the Gang Boss,” would his lifelong good name not be ruined? He did want to be Song Ziyue’s man, but not the sort who stayed in her villa to warm her bed while she went out to cut people down and came back only to enjoy him afterward. Ling Tian wanted to be the man who protected Song Ziyue; he wanted to be her pillar.
Still, the fact that Song Ziyue had given him her villa key made him tremendously happy. Could he really be that close to winning her over already? Happiness had come too fast; it was almost hard to believe.
Since Song Ziyue so wanted to be his woman, then he ought to be man enough for it too. Thinking of this, Ling Tian took out his phone and called Tiger.
“Hello? Tiger, it’s Ling Tian. Where are you meeting the Jin faction people today?”
When Ling Tian called, Tiger happened to be in bed with a girl, engaged in a fierce battle. After being cooped up in detention for several days, he had been starved of it, so whenever he had time he went to bed with women.
Just as he was in high spirits, Ling Tian’s call came through. Seeing that it was Ling Tian, he could only answer.
“Uh, Brother Tian, tonight at six thirty they’ve arranged to meet us in Conference Room Eight at Jianghai Grand Hotel. Don’t worry, we won’t be in any danger. Since this is only a negotiation, they chose a public place like a hotel. I’ll make sure Sister Yue is safe.” Tiger said this while groping the girl’s ample breasts, his movements below never stopping as he thrust again and again.
“Mm, ah!” A woman’s lustful moan drifted from Tiger’s phone. Ling Tian had intended to say a few more words, but after hearing that sound he decisively hung up.
Ling Tian felt that lately he had been ruining other people’s good moments all the time. Last night he had interrupted Shi Xiaocai; now he had disturbed Tiger’s bed sport. And yes, he himself was starting to feel a little hot and restless. Never mind all that—he should go back, find a woman, and put out the fire first. Then at six in the evening he would head to Jianghai Grand Hotel. Even if Tiger said there was no danger, he still needed to see for himself.
Ling Tian drove like the wind, racing back to campus and heading straight for Li Youran’s residence. In the afternoons, Li Youran usually had no classes and stayed home.
He let himself in with his own key and found that Li Youran was taking an afternoon nap. Good grief, it was almost three o’clock and she was still asleep.
For Ling Tian, though, this was perfect. Without another word, he stripped off all his clothes, then undid Li Youran’s delicate little nightgown as well. Beneath it, she was shockingly bare. Ling Tian stirred with excitement and lowered his head to bite gently at her twin peaks—only a light nibble, enough to please but not hurt.
Li Youran seemed still lost in dreamland. She did not open her eyes, but she soon slipped into the mood. The beauty was probably dreaming a spring dream, her body unconsciously cooperating with Ling Tian’s movements.
When he lightly touched the lower part of her body, he found she was already wet. Ling Tian smiled, parted her legs, and gently entered her hidden peach blossom cave. Li Youran still had not woken, but the inside suddenly tightened, clutching his little brother firmly. A wave of intense pleasure surged through Ling Tian’s whole body, and he could not wait to begin moving vigorously.
“Ah! Mm! Ling Tian? Am I dreaming?”
Li Youran suddenly woke, roused by his fierce motions. Seeing Ling Tian on top of her, she could not react for a moment, yet the sensations in her body were so vivid and clear.
“Haha, you are dreaming. Keep dreaming, good wife!”
It was the first time Ling Tian had found Li Youran this adorable. It seemed he would have to stage more surprise attacks in the future.
What followed was a storm of passion, and it was not until nearly five o’clock that Ling Tian finally left and headed straight for Jianghai Grand Hotel. By then he felt refreshed and invigorated, his true energy seeming to flow endlessly within him.
Money talks. After spending several thousand yuan, Ling Tian became a temporary waiter for Conference Room Eight at Jianghai Grand Hotel. Once he put on the uniform, he instantly felt himself to be the most handsome waiter under heaven. Some people, like gold, shine wherever they go. Ling Tian felt that he was exactly such a person.
Although the meeting was scheduled for six thirty, the Jin faction’s people arrived at six. Naturally, they did not know Ling Tian, so they took him for an ordinary waiter and did not send him out.
Ten people came from the Jin faction, not many. It was unclear how many more were waiting outside the hotel. The leader was a young man with prematurely white hair, a classic case of early grayness. He was broad-shouldered, of average height, and wore a somewhat ferocious expression, clearly no respectable man.
The others also looked like dangerous types, but to Ling Tian they were not worth a second glance. In his view, the Jin faction had not sent its main force this time; it was probably meant more as a probe and a clash.
