"Ah! Stop hitting me, I'll talk! The phone number is 138..., the man was of average build, crew cut, wearing large sunglasses, nothing particularly distinctive about his appearance." The fellow replied with trembling fear, terrified of being beaten again—the force of Ling Tian's blows had made him break out in a sweat.

Just then, the traffic police arrived. Seeing that this was no ordinary accident, they didn't touch anyone for the moment. Only when the detectives came did they take everyone away. Ling Tian and Lin Youya were also invited to the police station to give statements, while the car was left to be handled by the insurance company.

The case was handled by the Jiangdong Branch of Jianghai Public Security Bureau. Before the police arrived, Ling Tian had already removed the silver needles from the criminals' bodies. They regained consciousness, but remained weak and unable to resist.

"Young man, you’re pretty skilled! To take down these guys... You’d make a great cop," a young policeman remarked in the car, unable to hide his admiration as he glanced at the incapacitated thugs. He thought to himself that if he had to face five machete-wielding criminals like these, he’d have no chance without a gun.

"Hehe, I just got lucky," Ling Tian replied with rare modesty, which made Lin Youya see him in a new light. The policeman’s respect only grew—competence paired with humility was a rare thing indeed.

In truth, Ling Tian felt a bit frustrated. This body was still too weak! In his previous life, he wouldn’t have needed needles at all; he could have easily had these guys on the ground in seconds. Clearly, he needed to train. Even chasing girls required a strong body. Still, after this incident, Lin Youya’s attitude toward him had grown much warmer—a small thing to be thankful for, he mused, even if it was thanks to these bandits.

Soon, they reached the Jiangdong Branch. The officer in charge turned out to be a stunning beauty—none other than the cold-faced policewoman Han Bing, the very woman Ling Tian had set his sights on. She was captain of the Criminal Investigation Division. The nature of the case was serious, and with Lin Youya involved—a prominent member of the Lin family, one of the city’s business dynasties—the entire station was on high alert.

Ling Tian was instantly captivated by Han Bing. Her icy demeanor, her striking figure, and refined features made her stand out even among models. Most eye-catching was her ample chest—noticeably larger than other women’s, and certainly a size above Lin Youya’s—at least an E cup, he guessed.

That voluptuous figure, tightly wrapped in her crisp police uniform, carried a different kind of allure. Ling Tian even found himself wishing that those strained buttons would give way.

"Hey, who’s that bombshell? Her figure is something else," Ling Tian couldn't contain his curiosity and whispered to the young policeman who’d spoken to him earlier.

"Shh! That’s our captain, Han Bing. Listen, don’t mess with her, and don’t mention her figure—there will be consequences!" The policeman warned him in a hushed, nervous tone—his anxiety was genuine.

Unfortunately, his warning came too late. The policewoman had clearly overheard their conversation; her frosty gaze swept over the two of them. The young policeman shivered and fell silent.

Ling Tian, thick-skinned as ever, flashed what he thought was a charming smile at her, completely unfazed by her cold stare. She, however, ignored him and focused her attention on the criminals.

Ling Tian kept his eyes on Han Bing and suddenly recalled that among the women he hoped to pursue was a cold-faced policewoman named Han Bing. Could this be her? It must be—what luck! She actually worked here. He would have to find more reasons to visit the station in the future.

"Hey, is this beautiful woman the legendary Han Bing, the most difficult girl to woo in Jianghai? How many people in the police force have that name?" Ling Tian whispered to the young policeman, seeking confirmation.

"There are two with that name, but the one you mean is our captain. The other is a woman in her forties," the policeman replied softly, seeing that Han Bing wasn’t paying attention.

"Got it, thanks! My name’s Ling Tian, by the way. What's yours? Let’s grab a meal sometime," Ling Tian said, thinking the young cop seemed likable—probably recently graduated, not much older than himself, with a dark complexion and a lean build.

"I’m Wang Kun. Nice to meet you. I really admire your skills," Wang Kun replied with enthusiasm, glad to make a new friend.

Truthfully, if Ling Tian hadn’t been interested in the policewoman, he wouldn’t have bothered getting close to Wang Kun. But proximity to Wang Kun meant more opportunities to interact with Han Bing.

Standing nearby, Lin Youya was feeling rather annoyed. Ling Tian had been staring blatantly at the policewoman since she entered, his eyes especially drawn to her chest. What a shameless flirt! What irked Lin Youya most was that the policewoman’s chest was indeed much bigger than hers.

Seeing Ling Tian cozying up to the young policeman, she couldn’t resist a jab. "Ling Tian, are you hoping to get with Captain Han and have Wang Kun play matchmaker?" Her tone carried a hint of jealousy she herself didn’t notice. After the earlier ordeal, she’d started to warm to Ling Tian, but this busty policewoman’s appearance left her feeling defeated.

"Of course not," Ling Tian quickly laughed it off, not daring to answer her directly.

"Come over here and give your statements," Han Bing called out just as things were getting awkward, summoning Ling Tian and Lin Youya. Ling Tian felt relieved—he wanted both women, yet at the moment had neither. What a dilemma!

After joining Han Bing, Ling Tian and Lin Youya briefly recounted the incident.

"How did you manage to take down these men?" Han Bing asked, now looking at Ling Tian with genuine interest. His skill surpassed even hers; five strong men with machetes were no easy feat, especially while protecting someone else. If he’d been a second slower, Lin Youya could have been taken, and it would have become a major case. Han Bing couldn’t help but feel grateful.

"It’s nothing special. I know a bit of medicine and used silver needles to target their acupoints," Ling Tian replied modestly—a humility that bordered on pretense.

"Not bad. We’ll interrogate these men as soon as possible—they have other criminal records. If we learn anything, we’ll inform Miss Lin. If you have any leads, please let us know as well," Han Bing nodded, her expression still cold but her tone polite.

"Officer, we managed to get a bit of information from one of them. I wonder if the police can help check this phone number," Ling Tian said, after getting Lin Youya’s consent, and relayed the information.

Han Bing’s brow furrowed; her eyes grew colder. As a woman, she detested sexual predators above all else. The fact that these criminals had targeted a young woman with such vicious intent filled her with rage. After calming herself, she turned to Lin Youya.

"Miss Lin, it seems their ultimate aim was to threaten you or ruin your reputation. Do you have any enemies?" Han Bing’s tone was gentler, likely out of sympathy for Lin Youya’s ordeal.

"I haven’t openly offended anyone, but it’s possible that our family’s business has harmed someone’s interests, or perhaps another family member made enemies," Lin Youya replied after some thought.

"Their methods are extremely malicious and clearly aimed at you. If you think of any leads, inform us immediately. And be careful—since they failed this time, they might try another approach. We’ll check the phone number right away," Han Bing said, instructing her subordinates to investigate.

A call to the number revealed it was switched off. According to the mobile company, it was unregistered and had no useful call records besides those with the suspects. Clearly, the perpetrators were careful and, realizing their men had been caught, stopped all contact.

The adversary was crafty. Han Bing could only continue interrogating the thugs, but learned nothing more than what Ling Tian already knew—they were mere tools, and other threats to Lin Youya still loomed.

In the end, Lin Youya and Ling Tian took their leave. Han Bing reminded Lin Youya to be vigilant. Ling Tian had wanted to flirt with the busty policewoman, but with Lin Youya present—and after all that had happened—he restrained himself, deciding to wait for a better opportunity.

The Porsche was towed for repairs. Ling Tian and Lin Youya took a taxi to her home; she didn’t dare act alone now and felt safer with him by her side. This time, she was determined to bring him home, intending to tell her parents about the day’s events and seek their advice—perhaps the culprit was an old family enemy.

"Honey, how are you going to introduce me to your parents? It’s my first time meeting the in-laws—should I bring a gift?" Ling Tian was genuinely nervous; he’d never formally met any girl’s parents before, a stark contrast to his usual confident self.

"What in-laws? Don’t flatter yourself. Just say you’re my classmate, got it?" Lin Youya glared at him, pouting and warning him sternly.
