Chapter 125: The Sun and Moon Jade Pendant
Ling Tian followed Li Youran to a cave in the hills behind the school. It was a place rarely visited, but upon entering, Ling Tian noticed something unusual: he felt an aura that seemed strangely familiar, one that resonated with his own body.
"Honey, this place is truly unique. It resonates with my body," Ling Tian remarked, scanning the cave. Aside from some dried grass on the floor, it was entirely empty.
"I can feel it resonating with me, too. I’ve been coming here to cultivate these past few days," Li Youran said.
"The cave itself isn't strange, so there must be something hidden inside. We’ll dig three feet deep if we have to, but we’re going to find it," Ling Tian declared, showing no hesitation. Having recently read several novels where the protagonists possessed treasures like jade pendants or rings, he felt a bit envious of his own empty-handed state. He decided he needed to find something; otherwise, how would he deal with powerful enemies in the future?
"Is that really okay? This is school property. We can just practice here," Li Youran said, living up to her reputation as a well-behaved girl.
"Finders keepers. Yes, it’s this spot—the feeling is especially strong here. Move aside; I’m going to blast this open to see what’s inside." Ling Tian suddenly sensed something in the corner drawing him in, yet he could see nothing. Convinced it was hidden, he prepared to strike.
Seeing she couldn't stop the greedy man, Li Youran stepped back. Ling Tian gathered a burst of internal energy in his palm and struck the corner. With a loud crash, a pile of heavy stones collapsed.
"Ling Tian, look! There!" Li Youran cried out in excitement. The spot Ling Tian had exposed was shimmering with both gold and silver light—it was breathtaking.
"What is that?" Ling Tian blocked Li Youran, who was about to rush forward, carefully shielding her behind him before approaching the glow. He feared potential danger; as a man, it was his duty to stand in front of her.
A jade pendant! The Sun and Moon pendants!
Pushing aside the rubble, they both stared in astonishment. There were two pendants, shaped like a crescent moon and a sun. Though made of jade, they pulsed with gold and silver light, resembling miniature versions of the sun and moon.
"Ling Tian! What a beautiful pendant!" Li Youran couldn't take her eyes off them.
"Hmm, you take the moon, and I’ll take the sun. This was clearly meant for us!" Ling Tian immediately claimed them. Since he had found them, they were his.
"Ah!" Li Youran gasped as the moon-shaped pendant flew into her hand of its own accord. Its light dimmed, revealing a jade chain attached to it. The sun pendant flew into Ling Tian’s hand. He grinned and pocketed it, saying to Li Youran, "See? I told you they were meant for us. They even flew to us on their own."
"Yes. Holding this, I feel so comfortable. Could it be that this cave is effective for cultivation because of these pendants?" Li Youran said, clearly enchanted by the object.
"It must be. Now that we have them, cultivation should be much faster. You won't have to come here alone anymore, which makes me worry less," Ling Tian said, equally delighted.
"So, what do we do now?" Li Youran asked.
"Go back to your room and make a baby," Ling Tian replied with a straight face.
"What? Is that all you have in your head?" Li Youran teased, feigning annoyance.
"Honey, I have to go out tonight, so I want to cuddle with you for a while before I leave. I have important business to attend to. Let’s head back." Ling Tian put his arm around Li Youran and returned to her room.
Naturally, they spent time making a baby. Li Youran remained shy, but under Ling Tian's lead, she grew increasingly passionate, and Ling Tian once again found himself lost in her tenderness.
Under the cover of a dark, windy night, the time for retribution had arrived. Ling Tian didn't bother with a disguise; he wore casual clothes and drove a Porsche—Song Ziyue's car, which he had borrowed. It was convenient to have a vehicle, though he didn't plan on buying one yet. He believed his *Yin-Yang Art* would soon reach the Earth Realm, allowing him to fly, which would be faster than any car. Especially now, with the jade pendant in his possession, he felt his strength had increased.
Ling Tian arrived at a large estate on the outskirts of Jianghai City. From a distance, the compound looked grand; outsiders might mistake it for an off-limits historical site. However, he knew from the kidnappers that this was the headquarters of their organization, "The Poisonous Scorpion." It was essentially a mercenary group, similar to an assassin organization, but they specialized in kidnappings, which explained why it was filled with brawny men rather than skilled killers.
Ling Tian parked far away and approached on foot. With his agility, it was easy to remain unseen. He intended to capture the leader first—according to the two thugs, the boss was a woman nicknamed "Poisonous Scorpion," a beautiful but lethal *femme fatale*. Ling Tian never went easy on female enemies, but as a normal man, he was curious. He leaped over the wall and into the compound.
The estate was massive, rivaling an ancient mansion. The Poisonous Scorpion clearly had some backing. Suddenly, the pendant on his chest flickered. Ling Tian immediately became alert. Two men walked by, their conversation drifting into his ears.
"Why are we so unlucky lately? Two more guys got hauled into the station today. That never happened before," one voice complained.
"I know. But the boss doesn't seem to care. While our brothers are in jail, she’s busy entertaining that old pervert from the East," the other replied.
"Let’s go see if that pervert has left yet. Maybe he's still with the boss," the first one suggested, curious.
"Heh, let's go. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to sleep with the boss tonight. She’s way better than those women outside. Those breasts... they're huge. I've peeked before," the other added excitedly.
Ling Tian thought to himself that this was perfect; these two could lead the way. He wanted to see what this "Poisonous Scorpion" was capable of, daring to touch someone he was meant to protect. He followed them as they wound through the estate, eventually reaching a room he would never have found on his own.
Ling Tian’s hearing was far superior to an average person's. From a distance, he heard the woman’s voice and that of an old man—he recognized the voice of Mutō Kimura, whom he had encountered before. There was no need to guess why they were kidnapping Tingting; Kimura still hadn't given up. *Damn it!* Daring to target his people? This old man's time was up.
Ling Tian had originally planned to travel to the East to finish the old man off, but to his surprise, the man was still in China, still targeting Tingting. He was truly asking for death.
Ling Tian knocked the two thugs unconscious and crept to the door to listen.
"Your organization, the Poisonous Scorpion, is truly incompetent. You couldn't even manage to kidnap a single girl," came Mutō Kimura’s voice.
"If it were that easy, you wouldn't have needed to hire us, would you? Besides, this was your own mission to begin with. I could have ignored it entirely," the Poisonous Scorpion replied, her tone unyielding.
"Hmph! Don't forget, you are also a member of the Yamaguchi-gumi. Capturing Dongfang Tingting is your duty. It concerns whether her brother, Dongfang Ye, will serve our organization. This is a matter of the utmost importance!" Kimura scolded her self-righteously.
Ling Tian was shocked and thrilled. Was his brother, Dongfang Ye, still alive? It sounded like he was being controlled by the Yamaguchi-gumi, who were using Tingting to force him into submission. *Great.* As long as Dongfang Ye was alive, he could save him. He would storm any stronghold to do it.
He was also surprised to learn that the Poisonous Scorpion was affiliated with the Yamaguchi-gumi. They truly had a global reach, planting agents even in China. He continued to listen, hoping for more useful information. This trip was already proving worthwhile.
"Regardless, you botched the job yourself. You came to me for help; I’ve done my best, so it’s no longer my concern. If the organization blames you, don't look at me. Leave! You are not welcome here!" The Poisonous Scorpion dismissed him, clearly disliking Kimura. A beauty like her had no interest in old men; if she wanted a man, she preferred someone young and strong, which explained why her organization was filled with such men.
"Hmph! I will report this to the organization exactly as it happened!" Kimura stood up, fuming.
Ling Tian had no intention of letting the old man go. With his current skills, as long as he didn't run into a legendary master, he was untouchable. As the old man moved to leave, Ling Tian kicked the door open and stepped into their view.
"Who are you?" the cold, beautiful woman stood up abruptly, staring at Ling Tian.
"Ling Tian!" Mutō Kimura recognized him immediately—the man who had repeatedly thwarted his plans.
