Chapter 107: The Couple Goes Killing Together
"Yes, yes, we did not see Song Ziyue speeding," Traffic Officer A quickly corrected himself.
"Mm-hmm, we also did not see Song Ziyue without a seatbelt," Traffic Officer B nodded in agreement.
The traffic squad leader shot them both a glare but said nothing.
Ling Tian drove out of Jianghai City and onto the highway, accelerating wildly. The speedometer rapidly climbed past 200 km/h and kept rising.
"Ling Tian, you’re an incredible driver! Looks like you often race, huh?" Song Ziyue admired him with wide eyes. She had always thought her own driving was unmatched, but it turned out there was someone even better.
"Adore me, don’t you? Heh heh. This isn’t even impressive! Sit tight, today I’ll show you what speed really means!" Ling Tian said, pressing the accelerator further as the speed neared 300 km/h. Later, when Song Ziyue nearly vomited from the intensity, he slowed down but never dipped below 200 km/h.
They sped along and reached Qingshui City in under an hour, half the usual time. They drove straight to the Wealthy Elite Hotel, a five-star establishment. Their car wasn’t the most conspicuous there, so no special concealment was needed.
According to intelligence from Lao Hu, Long Hun, Long San, and Long Ba had entered Room 808, a presidential suite. Outside, other members of the Black Dragon Gang stood guard.
"Ling Tian, what should we do? Storm in or wait for the right moment?" Song Ziyue sought his opinion. Unnoticed by herself, she had begun to rely on Ling Tian.
"I’ll figure something out. We’ll act based on the situation. We must end Long Hun’s life today, but we can’t break the law. Your father is already under investigation—we can’t cause him any trouble," Ling Tian replied thoughtfully.
"Mm," Song Ziyue nodded.
Inside the room, a pristine pure wool carpet covered the floor. The furnishings were lavish beyond measure; this was the finest room in the hotel and the only presidential suite. It was reserved not just for the wealthy but also for those of certain status.
Apart from Long Hun, Long San, and Long Ba, there was another person, impeccably dressed—Liu Zihao. He comfortably lounged on a large, soft sofa, smoking, while the three men sat on chairs opposite him.
"What’s this? You’re already thinking of retreat? The task I gave you isn’t finished, is it?" Liu Zihao exhaled smoke and asked.
"Mr. Liu, we underestimated Ling Tian this time, but rest assured, we won’t give up. Ling Tian must die!" Long Hun gritted his teeth.
"I heard he injured your eye. Doesn’t your special ability work on him? Aren’t you supposed to be able to lock people in place with your gaze? Can’t anyone move when you look at them?" Liu Zihao was puzzled.
The Black Dragon Gang’s psychics had been his greatest asset against Ling Tian. Few in this world could stand against psychics, but Long Qi was crippled, and Long Hun’s most precious eye was injured.
Hearing this, Long Hun gritted his teeth even harder. "That Ling Tian didn’t give me a chance. He attacked first and injured my eye. His speed was incredible. He used hidden weapons—silver needles." He instinctively touched his right eye. Though preserved by Long San’s treatment, it was still unable to utilize his powers.
"What about Song Ziyue? Why didn’t you kill her too?" Liu Zihao asked, unaware of the full circumstances.
"Song Ziyue’s Purple Moon Tang Dao has a certain magic that counters my gaze. I couldn’t touch her," Long Hun said bitterly. He had never suffered such losses before, yet here he was suppressed by two people in one day. The hatred was intense.
"Useless! A bunch of useless people! And Long Ba? Aren’t you supposed to be a manhunter? Why didn’t you take down Ling Tian?" Liu Zihao turned his fury toward the beautiful Long Ba.
"Mr. Liu, please calm down. When I act, there’s no man I can’t take down. But that night, when I chased Ling Tian, their security system blocked me outside. Their family’s security is absolutely exceptional—more advanced than even the Japanese imperial household," Long Ba said coquettishly.
After speaking, she sashayed over and nestled beside Liu Zihao on the sofa. Her seductive eyes fluttered, and her ample chest brushed against Liu Zihao’s arm, hoping to soothe his anger.
Liu Zihao was full of rage with no outlet. Since Long Ba offered herself so readily, he took no offense. Ignoring Long Hun and Long San nearby, he pulled Long Ba into his arms and quickly tore her clothes. Her upper body was instantly exposed to the men present.
Truly magnificent! A slender waist and large bosom, she was indeed a temptress. Her snow-white peaks rose high, the rosy tips alluring. Liu Zihao glanced down, breath growing heavy. One hand held Long Ba, the other ravaged her breasts.
Long Ba felt some pain as Liu Zihao’s grip left red and purple marks on her delicate skin. The rosy tips were mercilessly pinched and squeezed. He showed no mercy.
She felt pain but dared not complain. She was a minor psychic, only ranked eighth in the Black Dragon Gang. Liu Zihao was not someone she could afford to offend, so she bore the pain with a strained smile.
Long Hun and Long San were stuck, feeling embarrassed. Liu Zihao’s behavior toward Long Ba was humiliating, especially since she was one of the Black Dragon Gang’s Ten Leaders. They wanted Liu Zihao to stop but lacked the guts. They considered leaving, but without his permission, they dared not move.
Still, being men, their eyes flicked repeatedly to Long Ba’s exposed bosom, their hearts burning with envy and desire. They had both been with her before—she was outrageously promiscuous. Watching her ample breasts shift shape under Liu Zihao’s hands made them ache.
Just as they felt trapped, Liu Zihao spoke, his wicked hands never ceasing their assault. Pinching Long Ba’s delicate peak, he said, "That Zhou fellow said Ling Tian is from the Ling family, the son of Ling Kun. Seems the rumors are true. The Ling family! Hmph! Do you think I’m afraid to touch the Lings? Our Liu family isn’t easy to mess with either!"
"Ah, yes, Mr. Liu is the governor’s son. The Liu family is a big name not just in H Province but even in the capital. What’s the Ling family compared to them?" Long Ba purred, flattering him.
She spoke easily, but Long Hun and Long San listened cautiously. They had heard of the Ling family—powerful enough to overshadow the world. This family was more than just wealthy.
"What? Are you two scared now?" Liu Zihao noticed the change in their expressions and frowned.
"Mr. Liu, you worry too much. Ling Tian is our mortal enemy. No matter his background, our plan won’t change. When we return, we’ll gather the others and devise a foolproof strategy," Long Hun said, though wary of the Ling family, with no choice but to align with Liu Zihao.
Money makes the world go round. Ling Tian had acquired some cash and disguised himself as a waiter, with Song Ziyue dressed as a waitress. They kept a close watch on Room 808.
After a long wait, no one emerged, nor did they call for room service. Ling Tian felt they could wait no longer.
"Sweetheart, let’s first take care of the guards outside, then go straight in and adapt as needed," Ling Tian said. He didn’t want to drag things out and was curious who else might be inside. If Long Hun and the others were making some shady deal, he wanted to stop it.
"Alright, I’ll handle the outside guards. They’re easy to deal with," Song Ziyue was eager, her serene appearance belying a fierce warrior spirit.
"Honey, with me here, you won’t have to get your hands dirty. Besides, we’re civilized people—we’ll do this the civilized way," Ling Tian quickly stopped her. He knew the hallway must have cameras, so a subtle approach was safer.
"Civilized people cut off other men's privates? Don’t keep me in suspense—what’s your plan?" Song Ziyue scoffed at his civilized talk.
"Honey, watch this." Ling Tian extended his fingers, and wisps of transparent energy oozed out, condensing into invisible needles. Without close inspection, they were impossible to see. Song Ziyue’s mouth dropped in awe. This was beyond her understanding—Ling Tian was releasing these from his fingertips right before her eyes; it was no trick.
Pointing at the Black Dragon Gang’s guards outside the door, needles formed from energy shot out and struck them.
"Ouch, my stomach hurts! I need to go to the bathroom," one guard clutched his belly.
"Ouch, my stomach hurts too, it’s killing me! I have to go," another said, overwhelmed.
Soon, all seven or eight guards hurried off to the bathroom, leaving the doorway unguarded.
"Ling Tian, you’re amazing! But why didn’t they just faint? Why did they all go to the bathroom?" Song Ziyue asked, puzzled.
"Fainting would be too obvious. If they suddenly collapsed, someone might suspect something. Going to the bathroom just looks like food poisoning. Let’s go in now—push the meal cart," Ling Tian said. Their waiter disguises made pushing the cart seem natural.
Song Ziyue was about to knock when Ling Tian stopped her. Smiling, he pulled out a card and swiped it. The door’s lock clicked open.
She gave him an admiring smile, thinking, This guy is really meticulous, much more careful than me. I prefer straightforward brawling, unlike Ling Tian’s cautiousness. That’s probably because of my upbringing—born to an official family, arrogant and unrestrained, never low-key.
In truth, Ling Tian’s previous life had been far more prestigious than Song Ziyue’s. But as a boy, he’d undergone rigorous training—if he acted carelessly, he could cause many deaths. Brothers’ lives were not something he could gamble with.
