Chapter 52: Don’t Pretend If You Have No Money
For example, when Boss Niu buys a BMW X1 worth several hundred thousand, she might let him have a good deal, but she will hold her boundaries. If he buys a BMW X5 worth over a million, then tonight, she would belong to him, and he could do as he pleased.
Qin Lihua shot He Haoxuan a glare, then looked at Boss Niu several times—comparing people only leads to despair.
He Haoxuan, seeing Qin Lihua ignore him, thought of asking another salesperson for prices. If it weren’t for Li Qingying’s fondness for BMWs, he would have gone to another luxury car dealership by now.
Qin Lihua, seeing He Haoxuan still lingering, stamped her foot in anger and cursed, “You laborer, get out of here!”
“Miss, what’s happening?” Boss Niu asked.
“This laborer came in saying he wants to buy a BMW—what a joke!” Qin Lihua exclaimed furiously. “I wonder what material his face is made of, it’s so thick.”
“Hahaha, he wants to buy a BMW?” Boss Niu laughed boisterously. “That’s the biggest joke in the world.”
Qin Lihua asked, “Brother Niu, which car do you want?”
“I’d like a BMW X3,” Boss Niu said, reaching his hand toward Qin Lihua.
Moments ago, Qin Lihua had refused, but now she stood still, letting Boss Niu’s large hand roam freely over her.
He Haoxuan ignored them, turned around, and asked, “Does anyone here want to attend to me? If not, call your manager.”
None of the other salespeople paid him any mind; in their eyes, He Haoxuan was just trying to take advantage of them, just as Boss Niu was doing with Qin Lihua.
Ma Xiaozhi hesitated for a moment, then timidly walked up to He Haoxuan. “Sir, what car are you interested in?”
“Do you have an X7?” He Haoxuan asked.
He no longer wanted the X5; after all, Li Dasong already drove an X5, so he needed something better to outshine him.
“Hahaha, this poor guy wants an X7? That’s hilarious,” Qin Lihua laughed, clutching her stomach.
Boss Niu noticed Ma Xiaozhi and his eyes lit up. He immediately called out, “Little sister, come over here. Let’s have a good chat.”
Qin Lihua, hearing this, became anxious. “Brother Niu, I was the one who started serving you, don’t go. If you buy the X3 today, I’ll accompany you to dinner and drinks tonight.”
“That’s all?” Boss Niu looked at her greedily.
It seemed his friends were right—coming to buy a good car like this, these salespeople would get at least a few thousand in commission, so of course they’d fawn over him and serve him happily.
“You… you can do as you please,” Qin Lihua gritted her teeth.
For the sake of her sales performance, and to prevent Ma Xiaozhi from getting the benefit, she was ready to go all out.
“Alright, we’ll have a good talk in the office later,” Boss Niu said lecherously.
He wasn’t a fool; he’d only pay after getting something substantial in return. Once inside, after he’d taken advantage of her, then he’d consider paying.
“Fine, let me get rid of this laborer first,” Qin Lihua said, annoyed at He Haoxuan.
Ma Xiaozhi looked timidly at He Haoxuan. “Sir, do you really want to buy the X7?”
“Yes. Do you think I’m here for fun?” He Haoxuan replied impatiently. “I thought you were different from the others, but it seems you’re just as shallow.”
“No, I’ll take you over. Last month, a X7 came back to our store. No one has bought it yet,” Ma Xiaozhi hurried to explain.
Some of the other salespeople overheard and fumed.
Ma Xiaozhi was too naive. When dealing with customers, you needed to exaggerate, not tell the truth. With her approach, she’d never sell any cars, and clients would just haggle her down, cutting her commission even more.
“Then take me to see it,” He Haoxuan remembered that Xiao Qiang drove a BMW X7—the space was quite impressive.
“Yes, please follow me, sir,” Ma Xiaozhi nodded quickly.
“Ma Xiaozhi, do you have too much free time?” Qin Lihua cursed loudly.
“That’s right, Xiaozhi, don’t listen to that laborer. Look at him—does he look rich anywhere?”
“Exactly, I’m afraid you’ll take him over there and, with no one else around, he’ll take advantage of you,” some salespeople warned Ma Xiaozhi.
Ma Xiaozhi said nothing; she’d just stay vigilant. Some people didn’t need privacy to act—they’d do as they pleased in public, just as Boss Niu was doing with Qin Lihua now.
She would never sell herself; even if He Haoxuan actually bought the X7, she would not let any man cross the line for a mere 1% commission.
Boss Niu was angry. He’d come to buy the X3, but that laborer dared to say he’d buy the X7. Even if he was bluffing, it was a slap in his face.
“Kid, don’t pretend if you don’t have the money. Can you even afford a BMW?” Boss Niu cursed angrily.
He Haoxuan glanced at Boss Niu. “Whether I can afford it is none of your business.”
“Fine, I want to see if you’re up to it,” Boss Niu followed in a rage, and several salespeople trailed behind to watch the show.
Ma Xiaozhi felt relieved seeing Boss Niu and the others follow along—at least she’d be safe.
Because the BMW X7 was too expensive and rarely sold, the store owner had them place it in the back, so it wouldn’t take up space in the main showroom.
When they reached the back, He Haoxuan looked at the BMW X7 and nodded to Ma Xiaozhi. “I want this one. How much is it?”
“Ah—” Ma Xiaozhi hadn’t expected things to move so quickly. This client, who looked like a laborer, made his decision instantly. “Sir, the original price is 3.5 million. If you buy it now, you can get it for 3.3 million with a bank loan.”
He Haoxuan asked, “I don’t want a bank loan. I’ll pay full price.”
“If you’re paying in full, it’s only 3.2 million. That’s the best discount our store can offer,” Ma Xiaozhi said. She had memorized all the BMW models, prices, and latest discounts to improve her sales.
“Humph, Ma Xiaozhi, are you really that naive? Does this laborer look like he’s here to buy a car? Why are you telling him all this? I’ve already called security to throw him out,” Qin Lihua shouted arrogantly. “If you really can buy the X7, I’ll be yours tonight.”
Boss Niu was intensely jealous hearing Qin Lihua say that. “Poor fool, stop pretending. I bet you’ll claim you forgot your money or something and just run off.”
He Haoxuan glanced at Boss Niu, unwilling to respond, then took out his card and handed it to Ma Xiaozhi. “You can take cards here, right? Help me pay. The password is—”
At this point, Ma Xiaozhi was still confused. If He Haoxuan wasn’t lying, she’d be earning more than thirty thousand in commission today.
