"Huh, that voice sounds like He Haoxuan," Chen Zhidong exclaimed in surprise.

Chen Zhidong rushed inside to take a look, only to discover that it was indeed that jerk, He Haoxuan.

He Haoxuan was sitting right on his "throne," with his leather-shoed feet propped directly on the desk, leaving dirty marks on the surface.

"He Haoxuan, are you out of your mind? That's my seat! What are you doing sitting in my chair?" Chen Zhidong shouted angrily.

"What? Chen Zhidong, didn't you say that if I managed to secure the contract with Qingguo Company, you'd let me be the section chief? Why are you trying to back out now?" He Haoxuan picked up a book from the desk, tore out a few pages, and used them to wipe his leather shoes.

Chen Zhidong cried out in anguish, "He Haoxuan, that's my book! Why are you tearing up my book?"

"Get it out of here right now. I'm warning you, from now on this is my office, so get lost!" He Haoxuan grabbed another book from the desk and hurled it straight at Chen Zhidong.

"Ouch! That kills!" Chen Zhidong shrieked in pain.

The book landed squarely on his already swollen face—how could it not hurt?

"If you know what pain feels like, then get lost immediately and stop getting in my way," He Haoxuan shot Chen Zhidong a sidelong glance. "Also, pack up your things and clear them out, or I'll have someone throw them in the trash."

"He Haoxuan, don't think you can just appoint yourself section chief and call the shots. You're not the one in charge here—our Department Manager Liu Xiaoyan is!" Chen Zhidong sneered.

Not only did he have Liu Xiaoyan backing him up, but he also had Li Dasong supporting him. Who would dare mess with him?

"We'll see about that." He Haoxuan couldn't care less about Chen Zhidong's threats.

Back at the restaurant, He Haoxuan had initially treated Chen Zhidong's words as a joke. But since Chen Zhidong was shameless enough to try and steal the credit for himself, he had no one to blame but himself.

Although He Haoxuan had no burning desire to be the section chief of Section Four, he certainly wasn't going to let Chen Zhidong get his way.

Realizing that He Haoxuan had no intention of leaving, and fearing he might lose a physical confrontation, Chen Zhidong ran out into the open area and yelled, "All you guys, get in here right now and kick He Haoxuan out!"

Chen Zhidong was still acting as arrogant as ever, assuming that with a single shout, his subordinates would come running.

Little did he know that He Haoxuan had already won these colleagues over by promising them that, once he became section chief, they would all live the good life with plenty of food and drinks.

Meanwhile, Xiaoyu had been singing praises of He Haoxuan's prowess, explaining how he had completely outsmarted Jia Dazhi at Qingguo Company and helped her recover the one hundred thousand yuan in overdue payments.

The colleagues never expected He Haoxuan to be so loyal and righteous. When he ran into Xiaoyu at Qingguo Company and saw her being bullied, he had immediately stepped up to help.

Unlike Chen Zhidong, who not only refused to support his subordinates but constantly squeezed and exploited them, which was why none of them would ever back him.

Now that He Haoxuan was moving to take Chen Zhidong's position, these colleagues gave it their enthusiastic support.

Therefore, when Chen Zhidong rushed out and shouted, everyone kept their heads down, pretending not to hear a thing.

Chen Zhidong was furious. He realized that the political climate in Section Four had completely changed; it was no longer his domain.

"Fine! You all just wait, I'm going straight to Manager Liu Xiaoyan to report this!" Chen Zhidong stormed off in a rage.

Xiaoyu walked back inside looking worried and asked, "Brother Xuan, Chen Zhidong has left. What do we do now?"

"What is there to be afraid of? I'm here," He Haoxuan said dismissively. "You guys just go back to your seats. Also, if anyone still has uncollected payments, I can go with you to get them back."

Since he was preparing to take over as section chief of Section Four, he had to act the part and actively look out for his subordinates' welfare.

"Brother Xuan, I have two accounts that haven't been collected yet."

"I have three."

"I have four."

Hearing that He Haoxuan was willing to help them chase down debts, the sales agents cheered in excitement.

The clients assigned to Section Four were notoriously difficult to deal with, meaning there were quite a few deadbeat customers.

Of course, not everyone owed one hundred thousand yuan like Xiaoyu had. Some owed a few thousand, while others owed tens of thousands.

To put it simply, they had endless grievances; Section Four was treated like an unloved stepchild in the company. Management didn't care about them at all and secretly wished they would all just leave.

Listening to the long list of unpaid accounts, He Haoxuan couldn't help being startled. "Hold on, tell me one by one, I can't write all these down at once. Here, Xiaoyu, help me record them."

"Alright, I'll be Brother Xuan's secretary," Xiaoyu said with a mischievous smile. That sweet smile left the male colleagues nearby completely dazed.

Gorgeous. She was truly gorgeous.

No wonder Chen Zhidong had always harbored designs on Xiaoyu; she really was breathtakingly pretty.

"Whoa, Brother Xuan, do you have a girlfriend?" The male colleagues felt a twinge of jealousy and quickly chimed in with questions.

According to company regulations, only leaders at the manager level and above were assigned secretaries. Positioned merely as a section chief, He Haoxuan was not entitled to one.

Since Xiaoyu was volunteering to be He Haoxuan's secretary of her own accord, she would undoubtedly be doing it for free, with no extra subsidies from the company.

That could only mean Xiaoyu had developed a favorable impression of He Haoxuan; otherwise, she would never have made such an offer.

Just as He Haoxuan was about to say that he was already married, Xiaoyu beat him to it: "Brother Xuan doesn't have a girlfriend yet."

"Ah, what a handsome man and a beautiful woman—looks like we have no chance," the male colleagues muttered internally, shaking their heads.

"Sigh, what a pity. Xiaoyu is the campus belle of Baili Group, and just like that, she's been snatched away by Brother Xuan," someone joked under his breath.

"The campus belle?" He Haoxuan asked, puzzled. "Are there no other pretty girls in Baili Group?"

Xuyang, sitting to the right, laughed and said, "Brother Xuan, you're new here, so you don't know. The most beautiful woman in Baili Group is General Manager Li Qingying, who is our ultimate company belle. Aside from her, there are quite a few other pretty girls whom we affectionately call campus belles. Xiaoyu from our Section Four is one of them."

"So that's how it is. Impressive," He Haoxuan smiled happily.

Turns out his wife was the absolute top beauty of the group. That wasn't bad at all; it certainly proved that his wife was the most stunning of them all.

Thinking that He Haoxuan was praising her, Xiaoyu blushed deeply and lowered her head with a secret surge of joy.

Xuyang and the others sighed inwardly. Even if they were practically blind, anyone could tell that Xiaoyu had serious feelings for He Haoxuan.

Seeing how things stood, Xuyang immediately called out, "Xiaoyu, help me write mine down too. The debt I need to collect isn't much, so I'll be troubling you later."

Xuyang knew that as long as he got on Xiaoyu's good side, He Haoxuan would definitely help him out.

Even the greatest heroes struggle to resist the charm of a beauty, and He Haoxuan would undoubtedly listen to Xiaoyu.

"Sure thing! Don't rush, everyone, take your turn," Xiaoyu said happily.

In an instant, the previously quiet office turned lively. Everyone crowded around Xiaoyu to register their accounts, while the main man, He Haoxuan, seemed to have been completely forgotten.

Before long, Chen Zhidong's angry voice echoed from outside: "What is going on out here? Do you people still want to work or not?"
