Upon hearing that their boss was on his way, the four thugs immediately stood up and shouted excitedly, "Don't worry, Boss Jia! Our leader is an incredible fighter; even the four of us combined are no match for him."

"Is that so? That’s wonderful!" Jia Dazhi clapped his hands in excitement.

Damn it, once that boss arrives with his four henchmen, he’ll surely make He Haoxuan beg for mercy. This time, he would make sure the Baili Group learned a lesson. One hundred thousand? They could forget about ever seeing that money. Soon, he would call the Baili Group’s business department and tell them to come collect their man.

He Haoxuan remained silent, waiting for this so-called "boss" to arrive. Let them all come; he would deal with them all at once to avoid any further trouble.

Xiaoyu said to He Haoxuan with concern, "Mr. He, shouldn't we leave quickly? They seem afraid of you now, so they shouldn't dare stop us."

"Leave? Why would I leave? If we don't get that hundred thousand today, we'll just keep waiting here. I want to see if he can even keep this company running," He Haoxuan sneered.

Jia Dazhi’s mouth twitched at these words. If this continued, his Qingguo Company would suffer massive losses. He had expected several clients to visit today, but because of the commotion He Haoxuan had caused, they simply turned around and left the moment they reached the entrance. Furthermore, they were supposed to have delivered contracts to other companies, but since the computers were inaccessible, the contracts remained unsent, and the other parties were already pressing for them. If they weren't delivered today, things might get complicated.

"You surname-He, you are going to pay a miserable price for this!" Jia Dazhi yelled in a fit of rage.

Throughout the morning, the Qingguo Company had lost an unknown amount of money due to He Haoxuan’s disruption.

"Heh, good. I'm waiting. Hurry up and make your move," He Haoxuan said with a cold smile.

Soon, the elevator doors opened, and a man jumped out. Seeing him, the four thugs shouted excitedly, "Boss, you're here! That’s the guy—let's finish him off together!"

"Hmph, daring to hit my brothers? He must be tired of living," the man shouted angrily.

Jia Dazhi pointed triumphantly at He Haoxuan. "Boss, that’s the one. You must teach him a good lesson."

The man radiated an air of intimidation, which gave Xiaoyu a massive fright. A gang leader was indeed different; just his presence was enough to instill fear. With them looking so aggressive, it seemed He Haoxuan might be in real trouble. The employees of Qingguo Company nodded to themselves, thinking, "Our boss is something else; he called these terrifying people over immediately." They all knew Jia Dazhi had connections in the underworld, and crossing such a person usually meant endless trouble. The appearance of these thugs left the employees too terrified to make a sound. If they had caused trouble like He Haoxuan, they would have been beaten to a pulp.

"Who was it that hit my brothers? Get down on your knees right now!" The gang leader bellowed as he strode toward He Haoxuan.

"It was me. What of it?" He Haoxuan watched the man with cold eyes.

The man focused his gaze on He Haoxuan, and his legs turned to jelly, causing him to drop to his knees instantly. This man was "Little Knife," the same person Wang Zhisheng had once sent to beat He Haoxuan. Back then, Little Knife had been brutally thrashed and warned never to appear in that district again. He realized then that He Haoxuan was someone he could not afford to provoke, so he had fled to this area to make a living. Relying on his ruthlessness, Little Knife had quickly carved out his own territory here. When Jia Dazhi called him, Little Knife assumed it was just some ordinary office worker he could intimidate into kneeling. If that failed, he could simply brandish his blade, and the target would surely be terrified out of his wits.

But when he saw He Haoxuan, Little Knife was scared out of his mind. He had been beaten so badly by mysterious people back then precisely because he had offended He Haoxuan. He had fled that area overnight, terrified to return, only to end up here. Damn it, he’d had a run of bad luck; being called to hit He Haoxuan again meant he was surely going to die a miserable death. Therefore, Little Knife chose to kneel and beg for mercy. However, he was so terrified that he couldn't even force the words out.

Seeing Little Knife kneel, Jia Dazhi hurried over to help him up. "Boss, did you trip? Why did you fall to your knees like that? Get up quickly and beat that guy to a pulp!"

"Mr. He, let's run!" Xiaoyu urged, full of worry.

He Haoxuan shook his head. "Run? It's them who should be running."

"Yes, yes, we should run!" Little Knife finally managed to speak. As Jia Dazhi helped him up, he immediately offered a fawning smile toward He Haoxuan.

"Boss, what are you talking about? Beat that bird-brained fool! Hit him hard, don't hold back!" Jia Dazhi, seeing Little Knife acting as if he were sick and speaking nonsense, grew angry.

Little Knife was furious. He had just started to address Mr. He, and this damn Jia Dazhi was interrupting him—did he want to bring more disaster upon him? With that thought, Little Knife leaped up and delivered a vicious slap to Jia Dazhi’s face.

*Smack!* The sound left Jia Dazhi and his men stunned.

Jia Dazhi clutched his painful right cheek and glared at Little Knife. "Boss, you hit the wrong person! That’s me, not that guy! He’s right there—hit him!"

"Damn you, I hit you because I meant to!" Little Knife jumped up again and gave Jia Dazhi a brutal beating. If he didn't show proper respect in front of Mr. He, he would end up in a truly miserable state.

"Aiyah, help me!" Jia Dazhi collapsed to the ground, screaming in agony.

The four thugs ran over in surprise. "Boss, what’s going on? Why are you hitting Boss Jia?"

"Hmph, beat him! Don't let him off! Damn him, calling me here to hit Mr. He—he must be tired of living!" Little Knife cursed angrily.

Hearing the order, the thugs went over to Jia Dazhi and joined in the beating.

"Aiyah, stop! If you keep hitting me, I’m going to die!" Jia Dazhi wailed in pain.

Xiaoyu was stunned. What was happening? Weren't these thugs supposed to be beating He Haoxuan? How did it turn into beating Jia Dazhi? The female secretary and the others were equally bewildered; the situation had flipped too quickly. Wasn't He Haoxuan the one who was supposed to be finished? How did it become Jia Dazhi?

"Boss, we can't keep hitting him, or we're going to beat Boss Jia to death," one of the thugs said, running over to Little Knife and catching his breath.
