Hope drove with Dr. Pym, Scott, and Arthur to the Pym Technologies building.

“You all wait outside. Scott, take your ants in with you. I’ll go straight through the front door,” Arthur said.

“How will you get in?” Hope asked.

“Action!” Arthur replied with a mysterious smile, striding toward the Pym Technologies building, while Scott shrank down and entered through the sewer pipes.

Hope wasn’t at ease about Arthur and followed him, while Dr. Pym remained in the car, watching the surveillance feeds on his computer.

The entrance to Pym Technologies was heavily guarded, with numerous security personnel preventing any suspicious individuals from entering.

Arthur, however, walked up confidently, startling Hope, who hurried after him, ready to explain on his behalf.

But Hope soon noticed that the guards seemed unable to see them, standing motionless where they were.

“Aren’t you supposed to stay in the car?” Arthur asked Hope.

“What’s going on? What’s wrong with them?” Hope was astonished by the scene before her.

“Just a little trick,” Arthur said, waving to a security guard, who instantly came over.

“Where is Darren Cross?” Arthur asked the guard.

“He’s in the building,” the guard replied expressionlessly.

“Guard this place. Don’t let anyone in,” Arthur instructed all the security guards.

“You’ve controlled them?” Hope asked.

Arthur nodded. “I’m keeping them here so no one comes in. When the company explodes, others won’t get caught up in it.”

“Your abilities are terrifying!” Hope quickly kept her distance from Arthur. She’d heard the Avengers were full of people with strange powers, but Arthur’s ability to control others was beyond her comfort. If Arthur ever became interested in a woman, she couldn’t even imagine what might happen.

“What kind of look is that? I’m not some perverted creep!” Arthur teased Hope’s reaction.

“How can I be sure?” Hope retorted.

The two entered the Pym Technologies building, and every security guard they encountered was under Arthur’s control, sent outside to the company entrance.

“I’ve reached the research lab server. About to let the ants do their work,” Scott said.

“Okay, hurry up. I’ve cleared out all the security,” Arthur replied over the microphone.

Arthur and Hope leisurely explored Pym Technologies as if they were at home, relaxed and unhurried. Hope was amazed; what had seemed so complicated was simple in Arthur’s hands. She finally believed Arthur’s earlier claim that he could solve everything alone.

Arthur stopped a staff member and asked, “Where is Darren Cross?”

“He’s headed to the rooftop,” the staffer replied.

“Not good! Darren Cross is trying to escape!” Hope knew there was a helicopter on the roof. Darren must have seen them coming via the security monitors!

“Scott! Are you done? Darren Cross is heading to the roof to escape by helicopter. Stop him—don’t let him take the Wasp suit!” Arthur ordered Scott over the walkie-talkie.

“I’ve finished setting the bombs. I’m heading to the roof now!” Scott replied.

Hope sounded the company alarm, sending all staff running for the exits, and Arthur followed Hope out of the Pym Technologies building.

Scott reached the rooftop just in time to see Darren Cross boarding the helicopter. Darren noticed the swarm of flying ants—Pym’s ants!

Darren Cross pulled out his pistol and fired repeatedly, but there were too many ants. He had to shut the helicopter’s side door.

What he didn’t know was that Scott was already inside the helicopter. As it lifted off, Scott suddenly grew to normal size inside.

He knocked out Darren Cross’s bodyguard with a single punch, then shrank again. Darren Cross grabbed his pistol and fired at Scott.

Boom! Boom! …

Darren Cross heard explosions and turned to look below, only to see flames engulfing the Pym Technologies building. Then, suddenly, space compressed—the entire building vanished.

“No!!” Darren Cross was furious. Years of research, destroyed in an instant.

He aimed his pistol at Scott and fired. Scott shrank and lunged at Darren Cross, but Darren slapped him away, nearly sending Scott out of the helicopter.

Fortunately, Scott grabbed a seatbelt and climbed back in. He saw Darren Cross donning the Wasp suit!

The Wasp suit’s four claws fired energy beams, trying to kill Scott. He could only shrink to dodge the attacks.

Scott darted left and right, dodging the beams, and landed a punch on Darren Cross’s face. Darren shrank as well, and the two wrestled furiously …

Arthur and Hope looked at the site where Pym Technologies had been leveled by the explosion. Arthur sighed, “What a pity! Dr. Pym spent so many years building Pym Technologies, and now it’s gone.”

Hope, however, was elated—their plan had finally succeeded. Arthur and Hope returned to the car.

“Where’s Scott?” Dr. Pym asked.

“He’s gone after Darren Cross—should be on the helicopter,” Hope replied.

Dr. Pym sent camera ants after the helicopter, while Hope drove back to the villa.

On the helicopter, Ant-Man and the Wasp fought fiercely. Darren Cross was no match for Scott, but he had laser weapons.

He fired at Scott again and again, missing him but accidentally killing the pilot. The helicopter lost control and plummeted toward the ground.

Scott and Darren Cross ended up in a suitcase, falling from the helicopter.

Inside the suitcase, their fight raged on. The falling case landed in a swimming pool.

Darren Cross grew larger and leaped out of the pool, startling the people by the water. A man was about to call the police when Darren Cross blasted his phone with his laser. Darren tried to kill all of them.

Just then, Scott burst out of the water, landing a punch that sent Darren Cross flying. Darren instantly shrank and charged at Scott.

Scott grabbed a nearby ping-pong paddle and swatted Darren Cross away, sending him crashing into a bug zapper.

Just as Scott moved to finish him, he heard a familiar shout from behind.

“Stop! Hands up!”

It was two police officers, one of whom was his ex-wife’s husband, Paxton. Their investigation had revealed Scott’s prison break was tied to Dr. Pym.

They had arrived at Pym Technologies just as the building exploded and saw a helicopter take off from the rooftop. Suspecting it was the culprit, they followed.

They saw people fighting inside the helicopter, which then crashed. Following the screams, they found Scott in his suit.

“Scott!” Paxton was shocked to find Scott here.

“Paxton, you have to listen to me—” Scott began, but was knocked out with a stun gun before he could finish. He was handcuffed and taken to the police car, ready to be brought back to the station.
