Chapter Ten: Rivalling a Master of Internal Force!
"Hand over the Thunder Breathing Technique, and I’ll grant you a swift death!" Yan Chonghu sat grandly in the courtyard, his expression dark as he gazed coldly at Qin Feng, Wang Fu, Liu Hu, and Wang Bao. He spoke with a chilling tone.
He hadn’t imagined that in just a few days since leaving the Black Tiger Gang, disaster would strike—the gang’s treasured technique had been stolen.
Fortunately, after relentless investigation, he had tracked the thieves to this place. The ones who had stolen the secret technique were hiding here.
Upon learning this, he didn’t act rashly. Instead, he summoned the gang’s strongest members. Now, two experts at the Internal Force level, eight at the Hidden Force level, and the rest at the Clear Force level surrounded him.
"No fighting is allowed within Xuanzhou City—do you dare make a move here?" Qin Feng’s eyes scanned his surroundings, feeling the heavy pressure from the gathered martial artists. He was unafraid for himself, but worried that Wang Fu, Wang Bao, and Liu Hu lacked the strength to protect themselves.
"Hmph! Under normal circumstances, fighting is forbidden," Yan Chonghu replied. "But you are thieves—thieves who have stolen the Black Tiger Gang's treasured technique! I have every reason to slay you! Even if the city lord learns of this, he will not interfere!"
Yan Chonghu stood, gripping a long blade, his ferocious aura radiating as he strode towards Qin Feng.
"The Thunder Breathing Technique is the Black Tiger Gang’s prized art?" Qin Feng frowned.
He had found the Thunder Breathing Technique in the courtyard during last night’s battle. It must have been Shen Huadong who sent men to steal it from the Black Tiger Gang, then hid it here. He had deliberately left clues for the gang’s experts to follow, setting up a confrontation.
Shen Huadong hoped the two sides would clash and both suffer, allowing him to profit from the aftermath.
"Shen Huadong, what a cunning mind you have!" Qin Feng thought. "Even if I survived the Hidden Force experts, I would die in this conflict with the Black Tiger Gang! If Shen Huadong knew my true strength, I’d have already perished in his scheme. He cannot be allowed to live—he’s far too dangerous!"
The more Qin Feng considered it, the more shocked and chilled he felt.
"You are mistaken," Qin Feng said aloud. "Someone buried the Thunder Breathing Technique in this courtyard and lured you here, intentionally causing a misunderstanding. He wants us to clash and both be weakened, so he can benefit. I have seen through his plan. Here, I return the Thunder Breathing Technique to its rightful owner."
He regarded both himself and the Black Tiger Gang as pawns—victims of a larger plot.
"Nonsense," Yan Chonghu scoffed. "I want to see what method you have to make the Black Tiger Gang suffer alongside you!"
He did not believe Qin Feng’s words, considering them excuses. With a fierce aura, Yan Chonghu rushed at Qin Feng.
A violent punch was hurled at Qin Feng’s face—so brutal that if struck, he would die instantly.
"Such power!" Qin Feng thought. "He’s at the Internal Force level!"
He sensed the wild force from Yan Chonghu’s blow, far surpassing that of the Hidden Force experts. Qin Feng’s eyes grew grave; he too punched out swiftly.
Their fists collided with a resounding crack, sending shockwaves through the air.
Yan Chonghu felt a tremendous force crash over his arm like a tidal wave, forcing him uncontrollably backward.
"Chief!" "Chief!" The five Hidden Force experts behind Yan Chonghu reacted quickly, their faces changing as they stepped in to disperse the force from his body.
"Even with five Hidden Force experts helping, I was still forced back ten steps?" Yan Chonghu was shaken.
This man’s strength far exceeds mine! He had used eighty percent of his power, yet was repelled in a single blow. He was no match for this opponent.
"Brother!" The gang’s second-in-command, Shi Tie, hurried to Yan Chonghu’s side, wary eyes fixed on Qin Feng. The other Hidden Force experts were equally shaken.
"Stand down!" Yan Chonghu ordered with commanding authority, his voice deep. Shi Tie and the other Hidden Force and Clear Force experts retreated behind him, their eyes vigilant.
"Your skills are truly profound!" Yan Chonghu laughed loudly, approaching Qin Feng. "I believe what you said."
"But no matter what, I am a victim too, and the Thunder Breathing Technique has already been leaked. I have a request, and hope you will agree."
"Speak," Qin Feng nodded in understanding.
"I invite you to join the Black Tiger Gang," Yan Chonghu said solemnly.
"Brother?" Shi Tie’s brows furrowed in confusion at Yan Chonghu’s words.
"We’ll discuss it later," Yan Chonghu glared sharply at Shi Tie.
"Hmph!" Shi Tie snorted, but said no more.
Qin Feng frowned, puzzled by Yan Chonghu’s intentions.
"Don’t be in a hurry to refuse," Yan Chonghu continued. "If you join the Black Tiger Gang, I will make you our third-in-command. You need wealth and resources for your cultivation—we can provide them. Any troublesome affairs can be handled by the gang."
He was sincere in his invitation.
"Very well, I accept," Qin Feng replied after considering. With the gang’s resources, his strength would surely advance rapidly. Yet he remained alert, calculating his next moves.
Even now, he could rival Yan Chonghu. Once he refined the White Orchid Fruit and White Spirit Ginseng to strengthen his body, and further increased his power, Yan Chonghu would be no match at all. Whatever schemes Yan Chonghu had, Qin Feng would not fear them.
Wang Fu, Wang Hu, and Wang Bao were ecstatic—their young master’s new status as third-in-command of the Black Tiger Gang far surpassed their former family head and Master Chen.
"Men, pay your respects to the new third-in-command!" Yan Chonghu commanded with delight.
"Respect to the third-in-command!" "Respect to the third-in-command!" The Hidden Force and Clear Force martial artists behind Yan Chonghu bowed to Qin Feng, their voices ringing out.
The gang had gained a new Internal Force expert—their strength would soar.
Shi Tie pursed his lips in discontent at Qin Feng’s swift rise, wishing to protest, but Yan Chonghu’s glare silenced him. Shi Tie looked away, snorting.
"Release the third-in-command’s people at once," Yan Chonghu instructed, recalling the maidservants and cooks who had been confined in the woodshed.
