Chapter 150: Devouring the Extraordinary Dragon
In a hidden mountain range in the western region of Flower Country, Gu Chongyan pressed forward along a long, secret passageway, accompanied by a money leopard that moved like a puppet.
The passage was pitch black, bottomless in its darkness, but for Gu Chongyan—who had nearly reached the pinnacle of human strength—this posed no challenge at all.
Soon, a vast cavern appeared before him.
This was a massive natural cave, as large as an average small town. Inside, a colossal spaceship was half-buried in dust, its angular, cold hull intermittently glinting faintly in the darkness.
One side was shattered, revealing a myriad of instruments many times larger than normal.
Most striking within the ship was a gigantic glass life pod, inside which curled a colossal creature resembling a lizard. This extraordinary dragon stretched over a hundred zhang in length, and each breath it took carried the scent of sulfur and fire.
Its scales bore a dark green hue, so deep and dense that they almost appeared blue.
Massive bat-like wings folded tightly against its sides; one could easily imagine the awe-inspiring sight if those wings were unfurled to blot out the sky.
From this immense dragon, Gu Chongyan could sense a boundless vitality.
If an ordinary human life was a burning torch, then this extraordinary dragon was a dormant volcano.
In Gu Chongyan’s understanding, only Thor could rival such power. It was clear how formidable this dragon would be once it awakened from its shipwreck-induced slumber.
Alas, with Gu Chongyan present, the resurrection of this being known as the Extraordinary Dragon was simply impossible.
“Void Gate!”
Gazing at the dragon before him, Gu Chongyan waved his hand, and a portal of blue magical energy tore open in the void.
On the other side of the Void Gate stood a magnificent castle nestled beneath the mountains by a lakeside—Gu Chongyan’s own miniature “Hogwarts” fashioned from the Blood Clan’s Eternal Night Hall.
As the Void Gate opened, shadows flew out of the ‘Hogwarts’ castle, passing through the portal and appearing inside the cavern.
Over eighty Dementors gathered within the cave, their chilling aura instantly turning the subterranean chamber into an ice cellar.
The money leopard, with eyes clouded and unconscious, struggled slightly under the biting cold, a faint glimmer flickering in its dull gaze.
But before the light could fully ignite, a ring set with a blue gemstone landed upon its head, and a powerful psychic force immediately suppressed its will to resist.
After reinforcing the power of the soul-seizing curse, Gu Chongyan took out a ring for material recomposition, inhaled deeply, and infused all his magic into it.
A surge of tremendous magical energy poured into the ring, causing a purple circle to burst forth with dazzling brilliance, transforming the entire cavern into a realm of violet light.
Under the radiance, the cave and rock walls began to continuously restructure and solidify, and before long, a colossal tower-shaped palace rose from the earth.
Obsidian pillars shimmered, glowing runes illuminated the surroundings, and intricate magical patterns adorned statues exuding an ancient aura. It was unmistakably another Eternal Night Hall, yet not entirely the same.
At the heart of this elaborate palace stood a grand altar, as if erected by ancient giants. Gu Chongyan, standing at its center, seemed like an ant in a giant’s domain.
Yet this stark contrast did not diminish him; rather, it elevated his aura to an unreachable height.
Wearing the white-glowing ring, he extended his hand toward the extraordinary dragon within the massive glass vessel. With a flash of white light, immense power instantly shattered the glass, and the dragon was drawn, floating toward the altar.
Perhaps freed from the life pod, the slumbering dragon instinctively struggled.
Its unconscious groans echoed like thunder rolling through the depths of the earth, continuous and deafening. Had the cavern not been so deeply buried, it might have already drawn unwanted attention.
“Fall unconscious!”
Facing the struggling dragon, Gu Chongyan uttered a spell without hesitation, tracing a magical rune with his fingertip that landed upon the dragon’s enormous eyelids.
Before it could fully awaken, the dragon was once again forced into deep slumber by the magic’s power.
No longer struggling, the dragon, guided by the white-glowing ring, fell heavily upon the altar with a thud.
Then, Gu Chongyan clenched the mind-amplifying ring tightly. The sea of his mind surged, and vast magical energy radiated outward from him, quickly spreading throughout the entire palace.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Under the diffusion of magic, the runes on the pillars lit up one by one, breathing life into the palace as if it had awakened.
Twelve magical pillars shot powerful beams of magic at the extraordinary dragon, like twelve blood-draining tubes, continuously siphoning the dragon’s immense vitality.
“Roar!”
As its life force was drained, the dormant dragon struggled once more.
The threat of death was so severe that even magic could no longer force it back into sleep.
“Dream of Descent!”
But before it could fully rise, Gu Chongyan’s eyes blazed with dazzling light. A sphere of purple radiance accompanied his incantation, settling upon the dragon.
The purple light seeped along the dragon’s massive body, penetrating deep into its soul.
A torrent of suggestion and psychic spells surged in, infiltrating the dragon’s mind before it could awaken, exploding, ravaging, and destroying every thought and idea that formed the foundation of its sentient mind.
The dragon, weakened by the siphoning of its life force, struggled desperately to awaken.
Yet within the sea of its mind, endless darkness transformed into an unceasing nightmare, completely engulfing its consciousness.
It was as if trapped within layers of dream invasion—each time it tore through one dream, another awaited: the second, the third layer.
While the dragon’s consciousness struggled, the Dementors outside the dream began their assault.
Each towering over three meters, the Dementors circled the dragon like tiny mosquitoes.
They opened mouths like black holes, drawing upon the power of the magical pillars to continuously devour the dragon’s vast life force.
These magical creatures, transformed from vampires, began evolving to higher levels under the nourishment of the dragon’s vitality.
Holding the Mind Ring, Gu Chongyan wove one sinking dream after another, firmly suppressing the dragon’s consciousness.
In the end, this colossal monster villain renowned across the Marvel Universe was devoured completely by the Dementors without ever gaining a chance to awaken.
