“By the way, Xiaxia, in a little while, take Chengyi with you and move your things from home over here, alright?” As expected, Zhou Yun seized the opportunity to speak.

“Alright.” This time, Luo Yixia had no excuse to refuse; last night, she could still say it was too late.

“And while you’re at it, pack some clothes—we’re going to Japan tomorrow.”

After such a busy day, Luo Yixia had almost forgotten they were leaving for Japan the next day.

Just then, Song Chengyi came in after answering a phone call.

“Chengyi, go help Xiaxia pack her things,” Zhou Yun called out.

“Now?” Song Chengyi asked.

“Let’s go,” Luo Yixia said, deciding it was better to be quick and decisive.

The two of them went next door.

When they reached Luo Yixia’s room, Song Chengyi truly had no idea what to pack.

“Just sit and rest for a bit. You don’t really know what to pack anyway. I’ll handle it.”

Luo Yixia dragged a large suitcase out from the corner, opened her wardrobe, and rummaged through her clothes.

“Mom said we should pack up because we’re leaving for Japan tomorrow.”

“Alright,” Song Chengyi replied.

Luo Yixia stared at the wardrobe full of clothes, unsure of what to bring.

Forget it, I’ll just grab a few things.

She started stuffing clothes into the suitcase, and after it was full, she gazed at the roomful of her “treasures,” feeling a tinge of reluctance at the thought of leaving.

Hesitantly, she asked Song Chengyi, “Can I take a couple of teddy bears to your room?” She pointed to the bears sitting by the window.

Song Chengyi looked over—they really were “small.”

On the floor, each one was almost as tall as a person; Luo Yixia often used them as stools.

“Only two,” Song Chengyi said after surveying the room full of plush toys.

“How about two of these, and two pillows as well? I like to hold them when I sleep.” Luo Yixia tried to bargain.

Song Chengyi wanted to say, Whom exactly were you holding last night? You ask for pillows, but in the end, weren’t you just holding me?

In the end, he kept those words to himself.

“There’s already one in the room, so you can only bring one more,” Song Chengyi said, this time quite strictly.

“Alright,” Luo Yixia nodded. She figured it was already good to be allowed a few.

When they returned next door, Luo Yixia was hugging a huge stuffed bear and carrying a pillow; Song Chengyi was dragging the large suitcase and also holding a plush bear.

In the living room, Zhou Yun and Yu Wenjing were helping them pack.

Yu Wenjing glanced at Luo Yixia’s stuffed toys and frowned. “You’re not a child anymore, and yet you still act like one, bringing so many toys.”

Luo Yixia crinkled her nose and ignored her, dashing upstairs.

When Song Chengyi entered, Luo Yixia was already leaning against the giant stuffed bear.

“Find a place for your things and put everything away properly,” Song Chengyi handed her belongings to her.

“Okay.” Luo Yixia nodded and set about unpacking.

It was Zhou Yun who called them down for dinner.

By then, Luo Yixia was done organizing her things, and both of them had their travel items packed for the next day—most of it had already been bought that afternoon by Zhou Yun and Yu Wenjing.

Dinner was once again a joint affair between the two families.

Afterward, Song Chengyi dragged Luo Yixia out for a walk.

Night was beginning to fall.

The streetlights in the neighborhood were already glowing softly.

The evening breeze felt delightful to Luo Yixia.

She stretched lazily.

“Why did you want to go to Japan?” She finally voiced her curiosity.

“I just picked it at random.”

Of course—it wasn’t like Song Chengyi would care. He probably just wanted to stop their endless chatter, so he had quickly chosen a destination.
