Mad! He was simply too arrogant!
Faced with Fang Can’s brimming confidence and blatant humiliation, the disciples around him were enraged.
Every person present had devoted years to the martial path. They had trained through the harshest winters and hottest summers—how could they lack spirit?
After those three battles in particular, they could clearly see that Fang Can might not even have broken through the First Profound Gate.
Combat could broadly be divided into three dimensions: mechanics, attributes, and execution.
Yet Fang Can had managed to win three battles in a row by relying entirely on superior technique to hold the line. Not one of them could possibly replicate such a feat.
“I refuse to believe it!”
A thunderous shout came from the crowd. A sharp-featured youth holding a silver spear strode out, his eyes filled with indignation.
“This is my Blazing Prairie Spear Art. Please give me your guidance, Junior Brother.”
The youth assumed a stance, his long spear angled forward, his gaze so keen it seemed capable of piercing through anything.
But his impressive display did not last long. A dozen breaths later, Fang Can used Dragon King’s Break followed by Raging Waves, lifting the youth bodily into the air with his spear before sweeping him straight out of the arena.
Thus, he proved his unmatched mastery of the spear.
But it did not end there. After the spear wielder’s defeat came nunchaku, twin blades, sabers, tachi, gauntlets…
One disciple after another stepped forward to challenge him, yet not a single one lasted half an incense stick.
Every one of them was defeated by Fang Can’s frail body wielding the same weapon and using the same techniques—only with far greater proficiency.
Roughly every dozen breaths, another disciple would be sent flying, and the next challenger would immediately step up.
Because Fang Can held back, the defeated suffered little beyond some pain. That only inflamed their competitive spirit further.
Fists, legs, palms, blades, spears…
Swords, halberds, staffs, clubs, hooks…
After more than twenty consecutive rounds of martial artists had been knocked from the stage, a question rose in everyone’s heart as they stared at Fang Can, still standing calmly at the center of the crowd:
Could this fellow truly never grow tired? Why not? What gave him the right not to?
After defeating more than twenty people in succession, Fang Can had not only failed to break a sweat—his breathing had not even quickened. It was completely beyond their understanding.
After all, martial artists might possess greater endurance than ordinary people, but combat consumed energy at an equally greater rate.

The intense exchanges of several dozen clashes per breath meant their stamina was scarcely greater than that of ordinary people.
But Fang Can was different. The Great Sun Undying Demon Body allowed him to claim every place touched by the blazing sun as his domain.
Sunlight restored his strength and tempered his physique, allowing him to fight all day like Captain America.
Standing in the middle of the crowd, Fang Can waited quietly for a while. When no one came forward, he said helplessly, “Senior Brothers, I’ll say it again: you can gang up on me.”
“If you can’t beat me one-on-one, gang up on me. If that doesn’t work, ambush me. And if an ambush fails, you can always drug me…”
Faced with Fang Can’s arrogance, someone finally lost his temper.
“Fang Can, don’t get cocky! Do you really think that because you beat all of us one-on-one, you can beat us all in a group as well?”
“I’m telling you, there are so many of us here. No matter how brilliant your technique is, you absolutely cannot defeat us all before your strength runs out.”
“Senior Brother Li is right! Everyone, charge together and teach him a lesson. Does he really think he can knock all of us down by himself?”
Faced with the crowd’s rising fury, Fang Can shook his head helplessly inwardly.
Once one side started saying things like that, they had already lost half the battle in spirit.
At last, Fang Can’s arrogant attitude thoroughly enraged everyone. No one knew who shouted first:
“Beat the hell out of him!”
With a great uproar, the entire crowd in the martial arena surged toward Fang Can like a tide, intending to bury him beneath their numbers.
But Fang Can felt neither sorrow nor joy. Instead, Jiang Ning’an’s instruction from those earlier days rose in his mind.
…
Several days ago, in the villa, Jiang Ning’an could not help offering him some guidance after watching Fang Can use his Mind Aspect in such a crude and savage manner.
“Your method of fighting is far too rough. You are not even drawing out one ten-thousandth of the Mind Aspect’s power.”
“Oh? Then please enlighten me, Senior Jiang,” Fang Can asked curiously.
“The so-called Mind Aspect is your will given tangible form. But aside from influencing the human heart, it cannot even lift a grain of sand.”
“Before the Road to Ascension, the difference between martial artists’ physiques is not especially pronounced. In most cases, the strength of a Ninth-Stage Profound Gate martial artist is merely nine times that of a First-Stage martial artist.”
“When faced with overwhelming numbers, two Eighth-Stage martial artists working in perfect coordination can theoretically surround and kill a Ninth-Stage fighter. Dozens of Fourth- or Fifth-Stage martial artists attacking together can force even a Ninth-Stage fighter to avoid their edge.”
“But that only applies when the Mind Aspect is not used. The Mind Aspect is an extension of the body. Though it cannot move a grain of sand, it can strike terror into the human heart.”
“You cannot simply project it outward in such a crude manner. You must treat the Mind Aspect as an extension of your limbs and use your techniques to bring body and mind into harmony.”
“All you need to do is construct, before throwing a punch, the destruction that punch is capable of causing. Release the greatest destructive force you can imagine. After that, the entire world will make way before you.”

Listening to Jiang Ning’an’s earnest instruction, Fang Can nodded thoughtfully and committed every word to memory.
Time flew. Two days later, the present moment arrived.
Looking at the hundreds of fellow disciples surging toward him like a zombie horde, intent on breaking his arms and legs, Fang Can’s expression turned grim. He suddenly drew a deep breath.
A powerful current of air, almost visible to the naked eye, was drawn into his lungs. His body, tempered like refined steel, finally began to move.
He used no weapon. Instead, he slowly raised his right fist.
For a fleeting instant, the disciples seemed to see a towering, majestic figure emerging behind Fang Can.
“That’s a Mind Aspect!”
In the distance, Yang Lie—who had been watching the spectacle and preparing to intervene at any moment—shook both hands violently. The wine flask he had been gripping slipped free and fell.
He had spent more than a decade painstakingly cultivating, yet remained stuck at the Fifth Profound Gate without advancing even an inch. Even now, he had failed to comprehend the Mind Aspect.
Yet at this moment, he was seeing it in a youth who had not even reached the First Profound Gate.
Within a ten-meter radius of Fang Can, every person could faintly perceive a majestic figure through the projection of Fang Can’s mind upon their own hearts.
It was the image of a man with short black hair, dressed in a dark blue bodysuit, a red cape draped behind him, and an emblem bearing the letter S emblazoned across his chest.
Though his clothing was different, the face they saw was unmistakably identical to Fang Can’s.
The man’s powerful arms, muscular as those of an ancient Greek statue, rose high in unison with Fang Can’s. His eyes radiated a light of universal salvation, making him seem like a god.
It was common knowledge that the longer the name of a martial art, the more powerful it was.
Therefore!
Of all the martial arts beneath heaven, this was—
[Mind Aspect: Martial Soul True Form: Cosplay: Superman Punch]
In the next instant, the right fist of Fang Can’s true Mind Aspect descended together with his own.
In everyone’s sight, the impact resembled a volcanic eruption. Vast clouds of dust erupted from the ground.
In an instant, the hard brickwork was crushed into a crater several meters wide. A violent dust storm began to sweep outward like a tornado, carrying every person caught within it through the air.
The tornado, churning through everything in its path, tore at their flesh like a meat grinder.
