Chapter 57: The Invitation

“Director,” Zhong Mingxi raised her hand timidly and asked, “What do you mean by ‘figure it out yourselves’? Aren’t you responsible for taking us there?”

“That’s right,” Sun Yang nodded, a sly smile spreading across his face. “Before leaving the hotel, you must hand over all the money and phones you have on you. If anyone is caught hiding anything, it will be treated as cheating—not only will you earn no points, but ten points will be deducted.”

“What?” Tong Ya nearly jumped up. “Director, you must be joking?”

The others looked at Sun Yang with hopeful eyes, desperate for some good news.

The hotel was thirty kilometers from Peach Blossom Village—not too far, but only if you had a vehicle. Without a penny and just on foot, who knew how long it would take to get there!

Tong Ya immediately stepped up to Shen Xingcan, placing a hand on his shoulder and smiling brightly. “Little brother, I like you, so why don’t you join my team?”

Shen Xingcan had originally planned to team up with Li Chuxi, but now, faced with Tong Ya’s invitation, he didn’t know how to refuse. In the end, he agreed.
