Chapter 55 Self-Introduction

Long before everyone arrived at the hotel, the director had already set up all the filming equipment.

In other words, from the moment the celebrities participating in the variety show stepped into the hotel, every word and action of theirs was being broadcast live for the audience to see.

So what if Li Chuxi was hated by everyone? Being cursed at was still a form of publicity.

As for the viewers calling for Li Chuxi to be removed, he simply pretended not to see them.

Now that everyone had arrived, Sun Yang stepped forward.

He swept his gaze around the room, cleared his throat, and said, “Now that everyone’s here, why don’t we introduce ourselves and get acquainted?”

Li Chuxi glanced at the people sitting on the sofas.

There were seven participants in the show, including herself—three men and four women—all of them familiar faces. Yet for the moment, she honestly could not tell who was who. From the memories she had inherited, she had a general understanding of their past experiences, but they had not been her own. Some of those memories remained rather hazy.

Apart from Liu Shangshang, there was only one other person she knew: Shen Xingcan, whom she had encountered earlier in the company’s rehearsal room.

When her gaze fell on Shen Xingcan, she seemed to see the other woman wink at her.

Prompted by the director, everyone soon began introducing themselves.

Liu Shangshang chose to go first. She stepped forward and smiled at everyone before saying in a poised and generous manner, “Hello, everyone. I’m Liu Shangshang. I’m not particularly skilled at cooking, but I can manage a few simple home-style dishes. I hope I’ll be able to help everyone out when the time comes.”

When she finished, everyone applauded.

Soon, the second person began his introduction.

A rugged-looking man spoke up. “Hello, everyone. I’m Dong Jian, and I’m an actor. I look forward to working with you all in the days ahead.”

A sunny, handsome young man followed. “Hello, everyone. I’m Liu Haoyu. I’ve acted in a few small films, and I hope we can all get along well during our time together.”

After that, Shen Xingcan, the striking actress Tong Ya, the adorable actress Zhong Mingxi, and Liu Shangshang each introduced themselves in turn.

Finally, everyone’s attention turned to Li Chuxi.

Li Chuxi raised her eyes and said, “I’m Li Chuxi.”

Silence followed.
