Volume One, Chapter 36: The Southern Island
Mu Hui and the lobby manager were both taken aback by these words.
Although Ye Tian did not know what words Ye Zhicang would use to persuade his brothers, that was no longer a matter of his concern.
Yun Xinyan did not like witnessing the abnormal behavior of animals, as such anomalies were often accompanied by various disasters.
The confusion and hesitation that had just clouded her face vanished, leaving only a smile as confident as ever playing on her lips, and a gaze filled with unwavering determination.
He might not care about one or two, but with so many people injured—some even hovering between life and death—even he, as the mastermind behind the Feixiang Bar, found the situation becoming unbearable.
Hongye understood what Shitou meant, so she took Guoguo and walked into the distance, where the two went to catch butterflies.
"Hmph, if you won't let me in, then I won't go in. I couldn't be bothered anyway," Liu Feifei muttered reluctantly before sitting down to wait for Shitou to come out.
A punch here, a kick there, followed by a subtle trip—every dirty trick in the book was employed, stopping just short of lewd maneuvers like "monkey steals the peach" or "double dragons playing in the sea."
Four mushroom clouds rose amidst the fleet of magical warships, instantly vaporizing those within the blast radius. Those outside the immediate range were sent tumbling by the shockwaves.
Dressed in heavy mourning clothes, his face appeared somewhat haggard, yet his eyes still gleamed brightly. His goat-like beard had been trimmed shorter, shedding some of its cunning in favor of a more capable air. Perhaps due to his royal lineage, his thin lips and chin bore a resemblance to her husband's.
"Fuxi must be filled with such resentment, gaining nothing in the end and becoming nothing more than a used pawn," Xiyao said with a smile.
Those below had no idea what this big shot intended to do; some were puzzled, others amused, and even the teachers in the back were uncertain of what A-Gan was planning.
This was the first time Song Yuntian had faced an enemy since his advancement, and he was taking on two at once. However, given his strength and the presence of Tang Chen and Tang Qiang by his side, he felt much more at ease.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Zhao Xin reinforced safety protocols once more, carefully scouring for any similar potential oversights.
Gan Jing was stunned. Looking at this rather plump middle-aged woman, he couldn't quite grasp the situation and just nodded blankly.
On a day when the filming went unusually smoothly, Gan Jing received a call from an unfamiliar number on his way back to the hotel.
"Damn it, the Principality of Dongming is truly useless. It’s only been a few days, and they’ve already lost their provincial capital?" A ninth-level powerhouse from the Principality of Rabbit stared pale-faced at the intelligence report on the table, a flicker of struggle visible on his face.
Puyang Wen’s analysis was not without reason; after plundering a main city, the bandits would naturally go into hiding. Why would they be foolish enough to continue raiding, only to be caught in your traps?
Tang Chen realized it all at once. Just as he had suspected, the opponent was indeed from the Qiao family; otherwise, they would not have known so much about him.
"You speak too seriously, Officer Wang. In that situation, anyone would have had to gamble on their luck; Liu Lang was simply lucky enough to win," Liu Lang replied, shaking his head with a calm tone.
"Such a large-scale mobilization of personnel—this must be a guild preparing to deploy troops into the Rubik’s Cube World. What other purpose could there be?" Shilo said.
"Tonight, I will definitely help you arrange a meeting with him tonight," Lu Qisheng promised with a fawning expression.
"I don't want your life. I just want to ask you: are you even a man? Do you have no intention of taking responsibility for what you've done?" Ye Zhi let out a cold snort.
