Chapter 29: The Twisted Game!

Early the next morning, Xiao Mengxue woke to find herself lying in Duan Lingxiao’s arms, a little drool staining his chest.
“Ah, Brother Lingxiao! Why were you sleeping here?”
Fresh from sleep, Xiao Mengxue’s eyes were still hazy, and her voice carried a sweet, childish innocence.
“Awake now?”
In truth, Duan Lingxiao had barely slept. As a spirit cultivator, he could draw spiritual energy from heaven and earth to replenish himself. Sleep, such a low-quality method of restoring energy, was almost useless to him.
“Mm-hmm!”
Xiao Mengxue nodded obediently and climbed out of his embrace with evident reluctance.
Brother Lingxiao’s arms were so warm—far more comfortable than a Simmons mattress.
“I heard you talking in your sleep last night. I was afraid you were having a nightmare, so I stayed with you to protect you,” Duan Lingxiao said with a smile.
Xiao Mengxue’s face immediately flushed.
“Brother Lingxiao, I didn’t say anything I shouldn’t have, did I?”
If she had revealed some embarrassing secrets in her sleep, she would never be able to face anyone again!
“Hahaha, you did. But… I’m not going to tell you that you clung to me and babbled about all sorts of little secrets last night!”
Duan Lingxiao chuckled.
“What secrets?”
Xiao Mengxue pressed him anxiously.
“Call me the handsomest man in the world ten times, and I’ll tell you.”
“Brother Lingxiao is the handsomest! Brother Lingxiao is the handsomest! Brother Lingxiao is the handsomest… Brother Lingxiao is the handsomest!”
After Xiao Mengxue had shouted it ten times, she asked, “Can you tell me now?”
She had spoken so quickly that her cheeks were flushed, like red apples against the snow-white complexion of Snow White.
“Hahahaha! All you said in your sleep was that Brother Lingxiao was the handsomest. You also said you wanted to give me little monkeys.”
Duan Lingxiao teased her.
“Brother Lingxiao, you’re bullying me!”
Xiao Mengxue’s cheeks reddened further as she spoke shyly.
Could she really have said so many things she shouldn’t have in her sleep?
It was not as though she had any secrets from Brother Lingxiao, but still…
It was terribly embarrassing!
“Go change your clothes. I just ordered breakfast on my phone. It should be here soon.”
Duan Lingxiao pinched her rosy cheek and smiled.
“Mm-hmm!”
Xiao Mengxue nodded obediently.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
Duan Lingxiao strode out of the room.
The moment he opened the door, he saw a man dressed in black martial arts clothing staring at him with a cold, grim expression.
“Who are you?”
Duan Lingxiao frowned.
He had assumed the food delivery had arrived, but the man was not carrying any delivery containers. He certainly did not look like a courier.
“So you’re the boy surnamed Ling, are you? You’re truly arrogant. You killed the vice president of the Martial Arts Association, yet you still have the nerve to sit around Jiangnan City as though nothing happened. Where did you get such confidence?”
The man’s expression was dark, and his tone was haughty and reproachful.
“I merely killed a dog. Why would I need confidence for that?”
Duan Lingxiao replied coldly.
“Hmph! You arrogant brat. You really are beyond reason!”
“You killed members of the Lu family and wiped out the entire clan. You’ve already earned yourself a death sentence!”
The man spoke with icy arrogance.
“If you have something to say, say it. If not, get lost. Don’t force me to slap you first thing in the morning.”
Duan Lingxiao frowned.
“Uh…”
The man’s voice faltered. He frowned in displeasure before continuing, “I have no wish to waste words on someone like you.”
“I have come under orders from Yue Longjun, president of the Martial Arts Association, to inform you that you are to go to the association at once and confess your crimes.”
“Only then might President Yue show you mercy. Otherwise, you have no path left but death!”
The man spoke as though he were issuing commands, treating Duan Lingxiao with complete contempt.
It was not that he was uninformed and unaware that Duan Lingxiao had destroyed the Lu family in a single day.
He simply did not care.
Compared with the Martial Arts Association, the mere Lu family was not worth mentioning.
The Martial Arts Association was a nationwide organization.

No matter how arrogant Duan Lingxiao was, surely he would not dare oppose the Martial Arts Association!
He was a martial artist, but the Martial Arts Association was the organization that governed martial artists.
A commoner could never fight the authorities. What gave him the right to act so arrogantly in front of them?
Besides, destroying the Lu family might have been easy—but what about the trouble that followed?
How was this brat going to deal with that?
“Bang!”
Duan Lingxiao suddenly kicked out.
The man was sent flying.
“Damn it!”
He had not even eaten breakfast, and he was already irritated.
Then some idiot had come knocking on his door to provoke him.
“Fuck!”
“You little bastard, how dare you kick me!”
“I’m Wang Qiangqiang, director of the Martial Arts Association’s administrative office! You piece of trash, how dare you kick me?!”
Wang Qiangqiang shouted furiously, humiliated and enraged.
“Hm?”
A chill entered Duan Lingxiao’s eyes.
“With a mouth that filthy, I suppose you forgot to brush your teeth this morning?”
His figure blurred.
The next instant, he was already beside Wang Qiangqiang.
Bang!
His heavy foot landed mercilessly on Wang Qiangqiang’s mouth.
Then he repeatedly ground his foot back and forth with brutal force, trampling Wang Qiangqiang’s mouth until it was reduced to a mangled mass of flesh.
“Uhhh!”
“Surnamed Ling, I’m conveying President Yue’s orders! How dare you disobey them?!”
Wang Qiangqiang was so furious that his voice broke with tears.
It hurt like hell.
Nearly all his teeth had been knocked loose!
“What is Yue Longjun supposed to be? Do I have to go beg forgiveness from him just because I killed a dog? What a joke!”
“Get lost. If he wants revenge, I’ll wait for him right here.”
Duan Lingxiao kicked Wang Qiangqiang more than twenty meters away, leaving him sprawled limp as a dead dog.
“Pfft!”
Wang Qiangqiang spat out a mouthful of bloody foam. His face was hideous with rage and humiliation.
Everywhere he went, people fawned over him and treated him with the utmost deference. When had he ever suffered such disgrace?
“Fine! Very well! Surnamed Ling, just wait for death!”
“I’ll remember today’s grudge!”
Wang Qiangqiang wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his eyes filled with venom.
“Sir, why are you sleeping here?”
Just then, a food courier from Ele.me rode past on a small electric scooter. Seeing Wang Qiangqiang lying on the ground, he could not help asking with concern.
He would have been better off not asking. Wang Qiangqiang’s expression became even uglier.
He forced himself to stand and limped toward a Mercedes parked by the roadside.
A moment later, the car started and sped away.
The courier stared after him, utterly bewildered.
What kind of cosplay was that?
Or was it some sort of perverted game?
He had once delivered food to someone who crawled on all fours and accepted the delivery with his mouth, pretending to be a dog.
People in the city certainly knew how to have fun!
“Mr. Ling, your delivery.”
The courier took out the meal containers, handed them to Duan Lingxiao at the door, and hurried away.
Duan Lingxiao carried the food into the villa, his expression somber.
Before he had gone to prison, most of his energy had been devoted to military affairs.
Although he knew that organizations such as the Martial Arts Association existed, he had had little contact or communication with them.
He did know, however, that the association contained many experts—outstanding martial artists, as well as hidden old monsters who had lived far beyond an ordinary lifespan.
But that was only in comparison with his former strength.
As for now…
He hoped Yue Longjun would have the sense not to come looking for death.
…
Meanwhile.
On the tenth floor of the Martial Arts Association building on Construction Road in Jiangnan City—

“Oh, oh, oh, buy me a bag…”
“Oh yeah, oh yeah, fuck, I’m exhausted to death!”
The computer screen on the desk displayed material unsuitable for children.
The soundtrack was foreign, the footage was domestic, and the plot was depraved.
Two people were diligently “working” in front of the screen.
“President Yue, I’m your little bitch, and I’ll always be your little bitch. You can do whatever you want with me…”
Inside the spacious office, a scantily clad woman wearing little more than scraps of fabric had a black collar around her neck, with a small brass bell hanging from its center.
She crawled on all fours to Yue Longjun’s feet, a fawning smile on her face.
“Very good. I never imagined you had so much potential—that you could develop so many new skills.”
“Jiang Bujing certainly failed to bring out the best in you.”
A satisfied expression appeared on Yue Longjun’s face. Holding a Gold Leaf cigarette between the fingers of his right hand, he leisurely exhaled clouds of smoke.
After Jiang Bujing’s death, he had originally planned to discard the woman once he had tired of playing with her.
Unexpectedly, she proved remarkably accommodating and had even taken the initiative to act out such roles.
It had given Yue Longjun an extraordinary thrill, allowing him to experience a degree of pleasure he had never known before—an experience beyond the imagination of most men.
So, driven by his desire, he decided to keep her for the time being.
“Bang!”
Just then, the office door was violently shoved open.
“Who the hell is that?”
A murderous glint flashed through Yue Longjun’s eyes.
The sudden interruption nearly made him lose his composure.
He never locked the office door while having sex. No one had ever dared enter without knocking.
Jiang Bujing’s wife looked terrified and hurriedly used a cushion from the sofa to cover her overly exposed body.
Yue Longjun was about to erupt in anger when he suddenly froze.
“What happened to you?”
He saw that Wang Qiangqiang’s face was smeared with blood, while his mouth was swollen and mangled like a festering wound. He looked utterly wretched.
“President, that bastard surnamed Ling didn’t put you in his eyes at all. I told him you wanted him to come here and discuss the matter, but he said you were the biggest idiot in the world—a piece of trash, a worthless bastard—and that he couldn’t be bothered to negotiate with you!”
Wang Qiangqiang exaggerated shamelessly, adding insult to insult.
“Did he really say that?”
Yue Longjun’s eyes narrowed, and an intensely oppressive aura burst from his body.
The scantily clad woman immediately felt the temperature drop several degrees. Her teeth chattered, and her delicate body began to tremble with cold.
Wang Qiangqiang, meanwhile, lay prostrate on the floor, inwardly shaken.
As president of the Jiangnan City Martial Arts Association, Yue Longjun rarely took action. But judging from the aura he had released—
He was immensely powerful!
That bastard surnamed Ling had dared to challenge President Yue head-on. He was simply courting death!
“That’s right. He even asked what you were supposed to be.”
“He also said that killing Vice President Jiang was no different from killing a dog!”
Wang Qiangqiang spoke with venom.
“Arrogant brat. You’re courting death!”
Yue Longjun’s expression instantly darkened, as though water might drip from it.
“President, you must avenge my husband! That bastard was so arrogant. He has to die!”
Jiang Bujing’s wife spoke up, her eyes full of hatred.
If that man had not killed her husband, would she have needed to grovel before Yue Longjun every day, fawning over him like a bitch just to win his favor?
All of this was that bastard’s fault!
Only then did Wang Qiangqiang notice the woman beside him.
He could not help swallowing secretly.
What a stunning woman!
She was wearing even less than a beach bikini, and her expression was more wanton than that of a club escort.
Being a leader certainly had its advantages. No matter what else one lost, one never had to deprive oneself of pleasure.
“Don’t worry. That little bastard has already earned himself a death sentence. He will certainly die.”
Yue Longjun spoke coldly.
“Then, President, shall we mobilize the martial artists of the association and go capture that bastard right now?”
Wang Qiangqiang immediately became excited.
“Do not act rashly. That little bastard must not be underestimated. He killed the Tiger-Subduing War General and then killed Vice President Jiang. Do you think the matter will end there?”
“As far as I know, the military has already reported the incident. That bastard killed the Tiger-Subduing War General without realizing that the general came from the Qi family!”
“I have already learned that General Qi is furious. He has declared that he will take that bastard’s head.”
Yue Longjun’s eyes narrowed, gleaming with a dangerous light.
