Although Xiaobai said that, I still felt guilty deep down.

“What are you thinking about? So lost in thought?”

Standing by the table, Fu Yunshen leaned over and gazed intently at my face, his obsidian-like eyes shimmering with light.

“N-nothing!” I came back to my senses and stood up. “President Fu, is there something you need me to do?”

Fu Yunshen frowned slightly; he disliked being called by that title—it felt distant.

“Do you have anything to do later?”

I shook my head. “No.”

A faint smile curved Fu Yunshen’s lips. “Then when we finish work, let’s go watch a movie.”

Before I could reply, he took my hand and started walking out.

I took the chance to glance at the time—it was only four o’clock in the afternoon, and the Fu Corporation’s workday ended at five-thirty.

“Fu Yunshen, it’s not time to get off work yet!”

In the elevator, Fu Yunshen held my hand tightly, fingers interlaced. Hearing my words, he looked at me with a hint of pride. “I’m the boss. When I say work is over, it’s over.”

I had no retort—the boss certainly had that power.

When we got to the car, he led me toward a black Mercedes, different from the one Fang Yanzhou used to drive.

Noticing my gaze, Fu Yunshen said, “Do you like this car?”

I nodded, then shook my head. Everyone loves a luxury car, but a boss’s car should not be coveted.

“This color really doesn’t suit you. I’ll have Fang Yanzhou get you another one. What color do you want?”

As I sat in the passenger seat, my hand paused while fastening the seatbelt. “You’re giving me a ride?”

Fu Yunshen smiled and took the seatbelt from me to buckle it. At that moment, he was only a fist’s distance from my heart. “You’re my girlfriend. If I don’t give you a ride, then who?”

“But… we’re not real!”

I whispered. His hand on the steering wheel paused briefly, then he smiled softly. “A fake girlfriend is still a girlfriend. What, don’t want a free luxury car?”

Afraid he might change his mind, I hurried, “I want it! I want a pale pink one.”

I had once seen a pale pink Mercedes in a video—it was absolutely beautiful.

“All right.”

No sooner had he spoken did Fu Yunshen call Fang Yanzhou. “Bring a pale pink latest model Mercedes for your sister-in-law.”

I stared at Fu Yunshen, one hand on the steering wheel, the other on the phone, a faint smile gracing his lips—he was unbearably handsome!

I took out my phone and snapped a couple of pictures, saving them in a separate album.

Fu Yunshen glanced at me but didn’t seem to mind; the smile on his face suggested he wasn’t displeased.

At the cinema, Fu Yunshen went to get the tickets first and returned with a bucket of popcorn and a milk tea.

“Here, for you.”

I awkwardly took the popcorn and milk tea—the bucket was quite large, so I held it with one arm while holding the milk tea in the other.

Just as I settled in, a flash went off. I stared at Fu Yunshen in surprise. “What are you doing?”

Fu Yunshen looked at the photo, tapping on his phone a few times. “Taking pictures, of course. What, am I only allowed to take pictures of you but you can’t take any of me?”

His words left me speechless—it did make sense.

He took the popcorn from me. “Come on, let’s go in!”

He picked seats right in the center, with several couples sitting behind and in front of us.

As soon as we sat down, the movie began—a romance set against a realistic backdrop.

I took a sip of milk tea and focused on the screen. Midway, just as I reached for the popcorn, I noticed Fu Yunshen sipping from the milk tea I had just drunk.

Seeing me stare, Fu Yunshen whispered, “What’s wrong?”

I pointed at the milk tea in his hand. “I drank from it already. What about yours?”

He glanced at it calmly. “Oh, the milk tea machine broke earlier, so there was only one cup left. It’s fine, I don’t mind.”

I???

Was this indirect kissing?

Thinking of kissing, I couldn’t help but recall the chaotic way I had bitten Fu Yunshen when I tied him up—though the experience wasn’t great, it wasn’t bad either!

Feeling a bit thirsty, I reached for the milk tea again. The moment it touched my lips, I froze.

Fu Yunshen had just sipped from it, and now I was drinking from the same cup. Startled, I immediately put the milk tea back down.

Fu Yunshen laughed at the scene, naturally picking up the milk tea and taking another sip before setting it down.

The movie ended, and I was crying uncontrollably.

The male and female leads never got together. The first half was filled with sweetness, but family issues forced them apart later.

Most people had left the theater by then, but I was still upset. Fu Yunshen reached out and gently wiped the tears from my eyes. “Don’t cry. We’ll always be together.”

I stared at Fu Yunshen, stunned. His eyes shone brightly and tenderly in the dim light, and his voice was enchanting as he said, “Lu Xiaoyu, let’s always be together.”

All the sounds around us seemed to fall silent. Fu Yunshen’s hand caressed my lips softly, slowly tracing them. Suddenly, my lips softened.

Fu Yunshen kissed me!

I stared blankly at him with eyes wide open. His eyes were closed, long eyelashes resting on his cheeks. When he opened them and saw mine wide open, he coaxed gently, “Be good, close your eyes.”

His voice was magical, and I obediently closed my eyes.

His kiss was gentle, sending electric shivers throughout my body.

So this was a real kiss!

When Fu Yunshen let go, I gasped for air, my cheeks flushed.

Seeing me like this, he tenderly stroked my head. “Silly Xiaoyu, you need to breathe. You can’t hold your breath.”

I asked hesitantly, “Fu Yunshen, have you kissed many girls before?”

He paused his hand on my head. “Why do you ask that?”

I looked serious. “Because you kiss really well.”

Fu Yunshen laughed. “Silly, it’s only you.”

With a puzzled look, I followed him out of the theater.

Outside, the sky was dark, but the surrounding lights still illuminated our faces.

Fu Yunshen looked at me, and I quickly lowered my head, still flushed from the earlier moment. I didn’t dare meet his gaze.

He hesitated for a moment but didn’t call me out. Instead, he took my hand and continued walking.

The night breeze was chilly, and I instinctively shivered. Fu Yunshen noticed.

He took off his coat and draped it over me. “Wait here. I’ll bring the car around.”

I nodded obediently.

The coat carried a faint woody scent. A breeze brought the fragrance to my nose—it was lovely, and I couldn’t help but breathe it in deeply.

Back at the villa, I still wore the coat. Watching Fu Yunshen walking ahead, I hesitated but finally made up my mind.

“Fu Yunshen!”

He turned around. “What is it?”

I pressed my lips together and said, “Let’s break up. I don’t want the car.”

Having said that, I lowered my head, too afraid to meet his eyes—I feared I might regret it.

Fu Yunshen stared at me, confused. “Why? Didn’t you say you liked me?”
