Yes, she collided with him.
With her own strength, she successfully knocked down the mad horse.
One person and one horse crashed heavily onto the street!
Almost at the same moment, Shao Diandian seized the opportunity and kicked the cart in front of her!
The cart shot forward with a whoosh, slamming into the carriage that had been flung sideways by momentum.
The carriage suddenly stopped like it had hit the brakes, right in front of an elderly couple who hadn’t reacted in time to run away.
The old couple looked at the carriage so close before them that their legs went weak with fright.
The horse struggled a few times after being knocked down. The young man took out a piece of drugged cloth, covering its nose and mouth, and soon the horse was rendered unconscious.
The young man seemed injured as well, his expression full of pain.
Shao Diandian walked over and asked, “Are you alright?”
He covered his left arm, “I’m…”
Before he could finish, a woman’s scream came from the shop behind them: “Young master! Young master, what’s wrong? Don’t scare your servant!”
This shop was the most expensive pastry shop in town—Jin Ji.
The one in trouble was a five-year-old boy, dressed in a sapphire blue brocade robe.
He had been eating roasted chestnuts when the collision happened, and the horse fell right under his windowsill.
The huge noise made him shiver, and he choked on the chestnut.
His face quickly turned blue as he began to suffocate.
The maid attending him was terrified but, not being a doctor, she could only scream helplessly.
Shao Diandian grabbed the young man’s dislocated arm and with a sharp crack set it back in place. Without waiting for his surprise, she swiftly rushed into Jin Ji.
“Why are you crying? Hurry and find a doctor! The clinic is just ahead! Take the child there immediately!”
The words came from the shopkeeper of Jin Ji.
The maid was already frantic and couldn’t even hold the child properly.
A kind young man stepped forward and took the boy from her arms.
Shao Diandian’s eyes sharpened as she blocked his way. “Give me the child.”
The young man looked strangely at the suddenly appearing plump country girl. “Who are you?”
Shao Diandian looked at the boy losing consciousness and said seriously, “Give me the child; he’s close to death!”
The child was clearly suffocating!
Generally, if oxygen deprivation lasts over a minute, breathing stops; over three minutes, brain swelling occurs; over six minutes, irreversible damage to organs or even death by suffocation results!
The young man frowned, “Little girl, don’t cause trouble! I need to take this child to the clinic!”

A customer couldn’t bear it and said, “Where did this country girl come from? What nonsense is she stirring up?”
Two elderly men shook their heads.
“Alas, the old Zhang’s kid died choking like this, no way to save him!”
“Yeah, even the clinic couldn’t help.”
Shao Diandian did not doubt the doctors’ skills and said to the young man, “The clinic is too far; you won’t make it in time! I can treat him!”
What a joke! A chubby country girl claiming she could cure such a dangerous choking case?
No one believed Shao Diandian, nor dared to hand the child over to her.
The shopkeeper jumped out at this moment, “What stinky woman is this! Get out of my way! Do you want to kill this child?”
He didn’t care if the illness could be treated; in his shop, no accidents were allowed!
When reason failed and time was critical, Shao Diandian resorted to force.
“Excuse me!”
She kicked the young man, who cried out in pain and loosened his grip. Shao Diandian caught the child in her arms.
“They’re stealing the child! They’re stealing the child!” the shopkeeper shouted.
The crowd was furious that such a plump country girl dared to cause trouble when the child’s life was on the line.
“Stinky girl! If you don’t let go of the child, we won’t be polite to you!” a burly man pointed at Shao Diandian’s nose.
“Miss! The child is dying! Don’t make things worse!”
“What do you want? Let’s talk properly; don’t kidnap a dying child!”
“Let her treat him!”
Amid the noisy voices, a clear, cold young voice suddenly sounded at the door.
Everyone was stunned.
The crowd instinctively parted to make way.
He was a finely dressed, beautiful young man, with jade-like features, tall and graceful, exuding noble elegance. At his waist hung a priceless white jade pendant.
His shoulders and the hem of his clothes were a bit dirty and disheveled, yet his noble and otherworldly aura remained undiminished.
The hall fell utterly silent.
He approached Shao Diandian and spoke slowly and clearly, “You treat him.”
Shao Diandian nodded, “Give me a chair.”
The young man cracked his whip, and a chair swiftly slid over to her.
He was clearly a martial artist!
Soon, someone recognized him as the young man who had bravely collided with the horse on the street. Now, no one dared to act rashly.

Shao Diandian quickly sat down, placing the child face down on her left arm, supporting his chin with her palm.
Then, she began to firmly pat the center of his back.
One pat, two pats, three pats!
By the fifth pat, the child suddenly spat out a chestnut!
He gasped for air and burst into a loud cry!
The crowd watching was left speechless in shock.
The child’s cry revived the maid, who scrambled over and hugged the child tightly. “Oh, young master, you scared your servant to death…”
Customers and passersby gathered around.
A middle-aged woman said, “Stop crying, give the child some water.”
A merchant nearby handed over some tea, “Don’t let the child eat chestnuts anymore.”
An elderly man stroked his beard, “Thanks to that young lady just now… Be sure to thank her properly… Otherwise your young master wouldn’t have survived. In all my years, this is the first time… Wait? Where did that girl go?”
Shao Diandian had left Jin Ji.
She had been so focused on saving the child that she hadn’t noticed what happened to the three little ones.
She crossed the street to where the three kids had been standing, but the place was empty.
She furrowed her brow anxiously.
“Big Tiger! Second Tiger! Little Tiger!”
Just as she worried, the three little ones slipped out quickly from a jewelry shop nearby.
“Madam, your children…” a clerk inside reminded her.
The woman choosing jewelry glanced back, “Not my children, don’t speak nonsense.”
The clerk was surprised.
Earlier, the three kids had followed this woman boldly into the shop, and he assumed they were with her.
Seeing the three children, Shao Diandian felt a weight lift from her heart.
The three little ones rushed to hug her.
She crouched down, touched each of their heads, and said with relief, “Good job waiting inside the shop. Very smart.”
It was the end of the year, and the streets were full of pickpockets. If not careful, one might be targeted. The shop was much safer, especially a high-end jewelry store where pickpockets rarely ventured.
After being praised, the three little ones blushed shyly.
