Chapter 6: Breaking Through the Zombie Gorge—The Terrifying Wailing Banshee!
Su Mu chose this location for two reasons.
First, it was relatively safe. Although there was a large danger zone near the C4 area of the lookout plains, the threat level was low, mostly concentrated between D6 and C6. Unless a sudden major boss appeared, his skeletal warrior’s strength was more than enough to handle it.
The main reason, however, was that this old city lord’s mansion contained a large iron mine. For a lord, an iron mine was equivalent to immense wealth.
One unit of iron ore could be exchanged for a spirit stone, and spirit stones served as the common currency among lords!
They could be used to purchase essential materials like timber and stone, as well as various cards—building acceleration cards, tenfold troop spawning cards, warrior synthesis cards, warrior upgrade cards, and even holy water or altars.
Moreover, capturing the old city lord’s mansion would grant Su Mu some exclusive skills only available to lords of this tier.
For example, the ability to relocate his domain at will, to flee when in danger, or even the qualification to open legendary treasure chests.
In short, seizing the original old city lord’s mansion was nothing but advantageous for Su Mu.
“Draw your blade, let’s move.”
Holding the altar firmly, Su Mu stepped into the unknown darkness, heading north since the lookout plains lay just north of the Zombie Valley.
A shaft of light pierced the darkness.
But it alerted countless dark creatures.
“Awoooo~~~”
Accompanied by a chilling, piercing scream, a pack of several hundred zombie wolves howled and lunged at Su Mu.
Their bodies emitted a foul stench, their emerald eyes glowing eerily like ghostly flames in the dark, and disgusting green saliva dripped from their snarling mouths.
A single bite from these zombie wolves would turn a human into one of them, lost forever in the darkness.
“Draw your blade, take them down!”
Su Mu shouted.
He then poured some holy water onto the Light Altar, which suddenly blazed brightly, expanding the area of its holy light coverage to two hundred meters. Within this radius, Su Mu was temporarily safe.
The skeletal warrior stepped beyond the light’s boundary to engage the zombie wolves in battle.

As more skill orbs were absorbed, the skeletal warrior’s attacks grew fiercer.
The area covered by the blade’s arc expanded rapidly—10 meters, 20 meters, 100 meters—soon nearly the entire wolf pack was engulfed in a sweeping blade of light.
The attack power increased dramatically; killing a level 3 Silver Wolf that once took three strikes now required only one to kill instantly. Bronze wolves were even easier—five kills with one strike was common, sometimes even ten.
Skill points surged wildly.

“Open the necromancy panel!”
As the last zombie wolf fell, Su Mu focused his mind.
[Necromancy: Skeletal Warrior]
[Level: 1]
[Strength: 520]
[Agility: 484]
[Spirit: 450]
[Constitution: 527]
[Skill: Draw Slash Lv30 (charges for half a second before releasing an elliptical deep blue slash sweeping 30 meters (1 * {skill level}), dealing 3700 damage (10 * 9 {strength} * 1 {skill level}), cooldown 2 seconds)]
[Loyalty: 100]
“Damn! 3700 damage! This is amazing!”
Su Mu was stunned once again by the skeletal king’s rapid upgrade. Although still level 1, its attack power was formidable.
An attack damage of 3700 was comparable to a level 4 Gold dark creature, though not yet matching diamond-level dark beasts, which started at 100,000 damage, and legendary or throne-level enemies reached into the millions or tens of thousands.
But for smaller monsters and minor bosses, it was more than enough.
This was the dark world, filled with countless minor creatures—perfect for leveling up and gaining skill points. Su Mu suddenly felt that his future might not be so bleak after all.
“Draw your blade, let’s keep moving!”
After slaughtering the zombie wolves, Su Mu’s confidence soared as he led “Draw Slash” forward.

[You have unlocked a skill orb and gained 300 skill points!]
The killing spree continued relentlessly!
Of course, the journey was far from peaceful.
This was the dark world; as soon as dark creatures caught a whiff of human presence, they attacked recklessly like monsters drawn to a feast.
For a new lord, facing such scenes would be terrifying enough to scare them to death, let alone clear the entire Zombie Valley.
But with the support of the kill explosion system, Su Mu was not only safe but reaping a wild harvest.
“Draw Slash’s” attack power surged wildly—3700, 4900, 5600, 6400...
If this continued, “Draw Slash” would surely surpass the ten-thousand mark, rivaling the strength of platinum dark creatures.
Finally, Su Mu’s arrogance drew the ire of some minor bosses in Zombie Valley.
“Rrraah!”
With a sharp, piercing shriek, four “Wailing Banshees” appeared before him.
They had red skin covered in teal scales, and their primary weapon was their scream, which could instantly disable resistance, dramatically lowering defense and attack power.
Their claws could easily tear through the bodies of three-tier human lords and rip out hearts.
Moreover, they had wings and could fly freely; ordinary human attacks were useless against them.
“Ahhh~~~”
One scream from a Wailing Banshee made Su Mu feel as if his eardrums had been pierced.
His mind was in chaos, vision blurred, on the verge of fainting.
Su Mu hurriedly sprinkled some holy water on his head; the holy water could resist dark energy corrosion and some dark attacks.
“Draw Slash! Kill them!”
Simultaneously, Su Mu took a big step forward, raising the Holy Light Altar and shining its light upon the Wailing Banshees.
The power of light suddenly enveloped the four banshees!
They immediately writhed in burning pain, screaming as they fell from the sky.
Ssssss!
As a loyal warrior, “Draw Slash” charged forward without hesitation, relentlessly striking the banshees.
The pale blue blade light covered an area of one hundred meters; the banshees could no longer take to the air.
“Rrraah!”
One banshee tried to unleash her scream again, but it was useless against the skeletal warrior.
As for Su Mu, he had plugged his ears with cloth, so the attack had little effect.
