Xiahou Fang’s hand was severed, yet no blood flowed. This body was inherently constructed from someone else’s skin, with an internal structure unlike that of a normal person—there was no blood at all, not even internal organs. At this moment, he paid no mind to the lost hand, his eyes reddened as he stared intently at Ning Xianyu.
“You have three Sky Mending Stones. Give me the Astrology Stone; I’ll return it once I’m done.”
Ning Xianyu hid behind, remaining silent. Although the stones were in her possession, ownership was determined not by her but by the Great Demon Lord.
Xuanyuan Tunhan smiled coldly. “Xiahou Fang, you won’t get it. Give up.”
Xiahou Fang snapped angrily, “If you hand over the stone, I’ll find out whether I can ask or not. Why are you so sure I can’t?”
Xuanyuan Tunhan said nothing further, only extending his hand: “Hand over the spirit stones and the cultivation techniques, and you may leave. Don’t even think of laying a hand on her; it will backfire and kill you.”
Xiahou Fang assessed the situation, gradually calming down, then tossed over a storage pouch.
“It’s all inside.”
Xuanyuan Tunhan took it, inspected it briefly, then handed it to Ning Xianyu.
She immediately put it away but kept a wary eye on Xiahou Fang.
Xiahou Fang, however, fixed his gaze on how she gathered her things.
She collected items differently from others.
In fact, Ning Xianyu had just realized her Divine Mansion possessed a storage chamber function—she could truly store things there.
Now she suspected it wasn’t a Divine Mansion at all, but some other dimension.
After this discovery, she always stored things there—it was convenient, and no one could take them away.
Even if Xuanyuan Tunhan could enter, he wouldn’t touch her belongings.
What Xiahou Fang noticed was exactly this: she stored items and the Sky Mending Stone disappeared instantly.
“How about this, Ning Xianyu? I’ll work for you. You lend me the Astrology Stone once. What do you say?”
Ning Xianyu quickly shook her head. “No need. I don’t want it.”
Who would want such a dangerous element around?
Xiahou Fang changed his expression to a smile. “Don’t say that. You’ll need me someday. If I follow you, I won’t harm you; I can protect you.”
Ning Xianyu sneered, “You can’t harm me anyway. I think you just want the Astrology Stone.”

This man was not young—probably lived tens of thousands of years, with great cultivation. Yet he had a thick skin, completely unlike the Great Demon Lord, who was obsessed with face.
She refused. Xuanyuan Tunhan’s face darkened. Seeing Xiahou Fang still lingering, he threw a package to Ning Xianyu and kicked Xiahou Fang out.
Caught off guard, Xiahou Fang was kicked onto the sea surface. Xuanyuan Tunhan followed, and a barrier quickly rose over the sea. The two began to fight there.
Ning Xianyu moved away, sitting on a large reef, opening the package to find the Universe-Cleaving Sword inside.
She felt a mix of love and hate for the sword—it was immensely powerful, capable of cutting through anything.
But this sword could also take her life. Even knowing she was a Seed of Breath and wouldn’t die, she was still afraid.
The sensation of having her power drained by the sword was terrifying—no one would want to endure it repeatedly.
Previously, Xiahou Fang had taken the sword away; she never thought of retrieving it.
Who knew the Great Demon Lord would bring it back?
Sigh!
Ning Xianyu slung the sword on her back, feeling like a heroine.
Meanwhile, Xuanyuan Tunhan and Xiahou Fang continued their battle. Nian Laisheng appeared again.
“Disciple, is this the Universe-Cleaving Sword?”
Ning Xianyu drew the sword out. “Yes. Grandmaster, do you want to see it?”
Nian Laisheng examined it repeatedly. “This is the Universe-Cleaving Sword. It has helped many cultivators perform magnificent feats and achieve great fame.”
Ning Xianyu retorted sourly, “So, those cultivators were all drained by it?”
Only when the previous owner died would the sword change hands. Since it had many owners, it meant all had died.
What was there to be happy about?
This sword was practically a predator selecting prey and devouring them.
Nian Laisheng grew a bit embarrassed. “But look on the bright side—you won’t die, so it won’t change owners again and won’t drain others.”
“Heh, so I’m its eternal food source, forever being drained,” Ning Xianyu said, not a hint of joy. She felt she might be the best nourishment the damn sword ever found.
The Universe-Cleaving Sword was truly a rogue. Yet it was clever enough to know what kind of owner it needed.
She suddenly grabbed the sword and shook it hard. “Can you talk?”
“If you could talk, tell me—do you see cultivators as food? Are you going to eat me?”
“Speak up! Don’t play dumb!”

She shook it again and again, but before any answer came, she suddenly felt her strength being absorbed.
Terrified, she tossed the sword aside and backed away, heart pounding.
The sword wobbled on the ground for a moment before flying back into its sheath by itself.
Nian Laisheng was startled, saying nervously, “It’s warning you not to blabber.”
Ning Xianyu shot him a glare. “Grandmaster, you’re really unreliable. You can’t even protect me.”
The Universe-Cleaving Sword was a big scoundrel.
Ning Xianyu suddenly hugged the sword again and started shaking it. “You live with me now, sucking my power to survive. You’d better behave, or I’ll never use you again—I’ll starve you to death.”
A few stones living in her Divine Mansion made demands—that was one thing, since they would be used to repair the sky eventually. But now a sword threatened her life. This was unbearable; she had to be tough.
Shaking the sword, she said coldly, “If you don’t obey, I’ll stop cultivating forever and starve you.”
The sword suddenly shot out, swaying around nearby, then hovered midair. It was unclear if it was pondering something.
Nian Laisheng looked on curiously. “What’s it doing?”
Ning Xianyu glanced over. “It thinks it’s thinking.”
Nian Laisheng asked again, “Do you think it might drain you out of spite?”
Ning Xianyu shook her head. “I don’t know. Didn’t you say I wouldn’t die?”
Nian Laisheng thought this made sense but worried that draining all her power would affect her inheritance of the Ten Directions Mountain’s cultivation.
The sword floated in the air for a long time. At first, it seemed to be pondering, but after a while, the situation grew awkward.
Because while it hovered, Ning Xianyu completely ignored it.
She was talking with Nian Laisheng, asking how to absorb the Ten Directions Mountain’s power.
They both said Nian Laisheng had given her all his power, yet she felt nothing, which puzzled her.
How was she supposed to absorb it?
Nian Laisheng explained, “That’s because you haven’t realized the power has already entered your body; it’s just dormant in your extraordinary meridians.”
This sounded very mystical, and Ning Xianyu didn’t understand a word.
“So, how exactly do I absorb it?”
