Chapter Sixty-One: No One Knows How to Play Like Sister Xi!
At that moment, Nan Zhiyi and Qin Lin’er exchanged a knowing glance and looked at Qin Xuan.
Qin Xuan felt a jolt of unease. “Maybe I shouldn’t play anymore…”
Of course, Qin Xuan’s protests rarely amounted to anything.
So, half an hour later, there was another person sprawled out on the sofa…
“Zhiyi, what now?” Qin Lin’er staggered to her feet, letting out a drunken hiccup, her mind muddled.
“Let’s get them back to their rooms first,” Nan Zhiyi considered, secretly rubbing her hands in excitement.
Qin Xuan was carried back to his own room, while Liu Ruoxi was tossed into Lin’er’s room. The two girls casually flung Liu Ruoxi onto the bed, then gleefully took pictures, making faces at her sleeping form.
After playing around for a while, they left Liu Ruoxi behind—after all, their main target tonight was Qin Xuan!
They stared at the groggy Qin Xuan, a bit at a loss. Nan Zhiyi had never gotten anyone drunk before—what was she supposed to do next? Should she ask her mother, who’d given her the idea? No, that would make her look clueless!
In the end, Nan Zhiyi knelt beside the bed, touched Qin Xuan’s forehead, and, finding it sweaty, sent Qin Lin’er to get a towel to wash his face.
Taking advantage of Lin’er’s absence, Nan Zhiyi’s eyes darted as she stared at Qin Xuan for a while, then decisively leaned down and gave him a quick kiss before retreating.
“Huh?” Nan Zhiyi bit her lip. What was that supposed to feel like? That was her first kiss!
She felt as if she’d lost a fortune—unable to resist, she pressed her lips to his again.
“Ugh!” Nan Zhiyi pulled back in disgust. All she could taste was alcohol! Now her first kiss truly felt wasted!
Qin Lin’er returned with the basin, catching sight of Nan Zhiyi’s complicated expression and growing curious—what had happened while she was gone?
But Lin’er held her tongue. For now, they were still allies…
Nan Zhiyi personally wiped Qin Xuan’s face. Seeing his lips still murmuring, she exchanged a glance with Lin’er, and both crouched down beside him.
“Qin Xuan~ who do you like?” Nan Zhiyi asked with a sly heart.
Qin Xuan mumbled an answer, but too softly for either girl to hear.
Nan Zhiyi repeated the question, and this time heard it clearly: Qin Xuan uttered only, “Ruoxi.”
Both girls were immediately dissatisfied.
Qin Lin’er rushed to ask, “Brother! Do you like your little sister?”
“Yes…”
“What kind of like?”
“My little sister…”
Qin Lin’er: Wait, what…
“So do you ever feel attracted to your sister?” Lin’er blurted out impulsively.
The room fell silent. Whether Qin Xuan felt anything was unclear, but Nan Zhiyi had to restrain herself from hitting Lin’er, pushing her aside.
“What kind of ridiculous question is that!”
Qin Lin’er looked a little embarrassed. “I was just curious…”
“Qin Xuan~ If you had to choose between Ruoxi and me as your wife, who would it be?” Nan Zhiyi asked softly, afraid to wake him.
But after a long wait, Qin Xuan said nothing—looking closer, he had started to snore.
“Damn!”
“Damn!”
Nan Zhiyi and Qin Lin’er instantly lost interest. After a moment’s thought, they decided to go torment Liu Ruoxi instead.
When Liu Ruoxi awoke, it was already one in the afternoon. Seeing herself lying in Qin Lin’er’s room, she was filled with doubt—why did her whole body hurt so much? Especially her backside!
What had happened? Right! She remembered being forced to drink… How embarrassing!
Liu Ruoxi had always thought she could hold her liquor—clearly, she’d miscalculated.
She limped out the door and found Nan Zhiyi and Qin Lin’er watching TV on the sofa. As soon as she appeared, the two girls turned their eyes to her, but Liu Ruoxi sensed a guilty look in their gazes—something was off!
She glanced around and spoke up.
“Where’s Qin Xuan?”
“He… he’s drunk too! Still sleeping!” Qin Lin’er stammered, pointing toward Qin Xuan’s room.
“What? You made him drink too?” Liu Ruoxi was angry—they knew Qin Xuan couldn’t handle alcohol, yet they still made him drink!
Faced with Liu Ruoxi’s imposing manner, the two girls instinctively retreated half a step.
But Liu Ruoxi just threw out, “I’m going to check on him,” and turned toward Qin Xuan’s room.
Sure enough, Qin Xuan was still snoring on the bed. Liu Ruoxi walked over, looked at his furrowed brow, and could only sigh inwardly.
She poured him a cup of hot water and set it on the table, thinking about how to give it to him. After a long pause, she took a sip herself, but didn’t swallow, and then, cheeks reddening as she approached, looked at Qin Xuan’s mouth…
Outside the door, Nan Zhiyi and Qin Lin’er peeked in through the ajar door, their eyes widening at the scene. Wow! When it comes to playing games, Sister Ruoxi is the real expert! We’ve learned something new.
Qin Xuan swallowed the water instinctively, and perhaps sensing something odd, slowly opened his eyes…
Seeing Qin Xuan’s eyes open, Liu Ruoxi was suddenly seized by the urge to die of embarrassment, but she didn’t pull away.
“Mmm!” Finally, the water was gone, but their lips remained joined, and Qin Xuan’s hand had slipped behind Liu Ruoxi’s head. The girl, who had been standing, slowly melted onto the bed.
Outside, Nan Zhiyi silently reached out to shield Qin Lin’er’s eyes, while she herself watched with great interest.
Blocked from seeing, Lin’er began shifting her head to try to peek, but accidentally…
Liu Ruoxi and Qin Xuan finally parted, only to see the wide-open door and the two embarrassed girls standing in the doorway.
“What are you staring at! This isn’t for children!” Liu Ruoxi reacted quickly, grabbing a pillow and tossing it their way!
Nan Zhiyi and Qin Lin’er fled, clutching their heads.
Liu Ruoxi, turning back to Qin Xuan, suddenly lost any romantic feeling—his breath reeked of alcohol! Ugh! She completely ignored the fact that she probably smelled the same.
Qin Xuan was a little more awake now. Glancing at the time, he realized he was hungry, and none of them had eaten yet. Thankfully, his parents weren’t home—if they were, he’d be in for a beating.
Liu Ruoxi and Qin Xuan came out to find the two girls still lurking near the door, and when they saw the pair emerge, they tried to slip away.
But Liu Ruoxi grabbed their hands and dragged them back, demanding,
“Do you two do anything besides cause trouble all day?”
“Sis Ruoxi, I’m sorry! It was all Zhiyi’s idea! She’s the one who hit your butt!” Nan Zhiyi was left completely baffled as Qin Lin’er sold her out without a second thought. Had she made a mistake pulling her into this? Was Lin’er going to stab her in the back?
Liu Ruoxi’s anger flared—so that’s why her butt hurt! So it was you! She let go of Qin Lin’er, hooked her arm around Nan Zhiyi, and headed back to the room.
Soon, cries of surprise erupted from inside. Qin Xuan knew better than to get involved—he’d best go make dinner.
After a quick wash, Qin Xuan went to the kitchen and reheated some leftovers from the day before—mainly the fish, since he figured Ruoxi would need to replenish her strength after dealing with people.
As Qin Xuan was heating the food, Qin Lin’er sneaked in, drawn by the delicious smell and her own hunger.
“Brother, teach me how to cook!” Qin Lin’er suddenly piped up, as if struck by an idea.
“Teach you? No way—I’m afraid you’ll blow up the kitchen!” Qin Xuan truly believed this.
“Please teach me! I want to learn!” Qin Lin’er clung to his arm, swaying and pleading.
“Alright, alright!” Qin Xuan couldn’t hold the spatula steady as she shook him, so he relented.
He handed her the spatula and placed his hand over hers. “Try stirring it first.”
Feeling the warmth of Qin Xuan’s palm, Qin Lin’er’s mind clearly wasn’t on cooking. If her brother taught her, wouldn’t that mean the kitchen would always be just the two of them? As for whether she’d actually learn… she certainly wouldn’t. That way, he’d have to keep teaching her!
