Chapter 132: Boss, I want to reach Platinum...

When Liu Ruoxi finally came out, she discovered that the table contained everything except beef tripe...
“You people are truly heartless!” Liu Ruoxi had already lost the energy to complain. Fine, you win.
She sat down beside Qin Xuan, picked up her chopsticks, and began fighting for food in the pot with Qin Lin'er and the others.
More than an hour later, the people around the table were sprawled in their chairs, utterly motionless.
“Sis Ruoxi! Why did you steal my crispy pork?” Qin Lin'er complained indignantly, one hand resting on her stomach.
“You were eating too much. I was worried you might overstuff yourself.”
“You shameless thing...” Lin'er lowered her head and muttered.
Liu Ruoxi took the tissue Qin Xuan handed her and wiped her mouth.
“It’s all your fault! Every muscle in my body aches. I’m going back to sleep for a while.” Liu Ruoxi glared at Qin Xuan. The memory of all the extravagant tricks he had tried the night before still made her angry.
With that, Ruoxi ignored everyone’s astonished expressions, rose to her feet, and returned to her room while rubbing her lower back.
“Qin Xuan... show a little restraint...” Nan Zhiyi said faintly.
“She’s slandering me!” Qin Xuan protested with an odd look on his face. “She was the one who got curious and wanted to try them!”
Nan Zhiyi shook her head in disbelief. Wasn’t he the one who was always coming up with new tricks?
“Go get some rest,” Qin Xuan sighed helplessly beneath Nan Zhiyi’s strange stare.
Nan Zhiyi handed him the cola she had left unfinished, but said, “Feeling guilty?”
Expressionless, Qin Xuan picked up the cola and drained it in one go, refusing to engage with Nan Zhiyi’s attempts to stir up trouble.
Nan Zhiyi could only stand up helplessly. What a pity. She was still rather curious...
After resting for a while, Qin Xuan began clearing the table by himself. Lin'er sat nearby and tried to help, but Qin Xuan thought she would only make things messier and sent her back to her room.
Once he had finished, Qin Xuan slipped back into his room, intending to play some games.
The moment he opened the door, he saw Ruoxi lying on the bed, playing with her phone.
“Weren’t you going to sleep?”
“I couldn’t...” Liu Ruoxi gave him a bashful look.
“Then why are you just lying there? Want to go out and have some fun?” Qin Xuan sat on the edge of the bed and toyed with Ruoxi’s hand.
“No, no.” Liu Ruoxi shook her head and held her phone out to him. “Look. Do you think this outfit is pretty?”
“Hm?”
Once she said that, Qin Xuan’s interest was instantly piqued. Though he had just been planning to play a game, the next moment he was lying on Ruoxi’s lap, commenting on the items in her shopping cart.
“This one’s nice.”
“A camisole would definitely suit you. Buy it first.”
“Is this for Lin'er? It’s so tiny!”

Half an hour later, Qin Xuan finally sat back in his chair with satisfaction. After buying so many things, he would have enough to admire for quite some time...
Liu Ruoxi no longer felt like lying down either. Her face slightly flushed, she sat on Qin Xuan’s lap and leaned against his chest while watching him play.
“Qin Xuan~ How about you teach me to play?” Liu Ruoxi tilted her head toward his profile, suddenly taking an interest.
“Hm?” Qin Xuan, who had just been lamenting another unlucky round, looked at her and ruffled her hair. “Sure. I’ll teach you personally.”
Qin Xuan started another match, placed the mouse in Liu Ruoxi’s hand, and explained everything to her while the game loaded.
After defeating the second wave of monsters, Qin Xuan said, “All right, choose the first augment. Normally, you build a composition based on the augments you get...”
Before he could finish, he saw the three colorful augments on the screen—including one called Soul of Fortune.
Who could possibly resist that?
“Now I’ll teach you the most entertaining composition...”
Forty minutes later, Qin Xuan stared pensively at the victory screen showing first place.
No, seriously... what kind of luck was this?
Qin Xuan was naturally unwilling to accept it. He had played for so long and encountered only a handful of all-color rounds, yet she had found one in her very first game?
So Qin Xuan handed the mouse to Liu Ruoxi and let her take over.
Two hours later, Qin Xuan looked at his account, which had climbed an entire division. As for the process, he had only two words in his heart:
Absurd.
You simply couldn’t generalize about luck between people!
Liu Ruoxi noticed that Qin Xuan seemed somewhat conflicted and awkwardly released the mouse.
“Would you like to play?”
Qin Xuan stared into her eyes, suddenly clasped her hand, and burst into tears. “Great master, I want to reach Platinum...”
Liu Ruoxi was a little stunned by Qin Xuan’s sudden theatrics, but she still nodded.
Thus, Liu Ruoxi spent the entire afternoon sitting on Qin Xuan’s lap. Fruits and snacks covered the desk, and every so often Qin Xuan ingratiatingly fed her a strawberry...
By evening, Liu Ruoxi was somewhat tired and leaned against Qin Xuan’s chest. Qin Xuan kneaded her shoulders while keeping his eyes fixed on the rank icon changing on the screen.
I, Qin the Unlucky, reached Platinum by relying on my girlfriend!
“All right now? I’m a little hungry. I want twice-cooked pork for dinner...” Liu Ruoxi tilted her head.
“I’ll make it! Right away!” Qin Xuan answered without hesitation, his arms still around her.
“Mhm.” Liu Ruoxi nodded, though part of her wanted him to hold her a little longer.
Nan Zhiyi and Qin Lin'er had appeared at the doorway at some point. Watching the affectionate couple, they could no longer hold back.
“Tut, tut, tut!”
“Hm?” Hearing the sound, Liu Ruoxi turned her head and saw the two of them putting on an exaggerated display of madness. She ignored them completely and continued nestling in Qin Xuan’s arms while playing on the computer.
“All right.” Qin Xuan patted Liu Ruoxi’s shoulder and prepared to get up and cook.

Only then did Liu Ruoxi rise and let Qin Xuan leave. She then sat back down in the chair and continued playing. Qin Xuan suddenly felt that teaching her how to play games might have been a terrible mistake...
As he passed Lin'er and Nan Zhiyi, Qin Xuan reached out and gently pinched each of their noses before heading to the kitchen.
Sure enough, when Qin Xuan finished cooking and brought the dishes to the table, he discovered that Liu Ruoxi was still playing.
Wearing an apron, Qin Xuan stood beside her and sighed helplessly.
“Want to eat first?”
Liu Ruoxi looked up at him. “Wait a moment. I’m about to gain you some more points!”
Qin Xuan finally realized what a terrible mistake he had made.
After thinking for a moment, he went out and brought two dishes back to the room. At the dining table, Lin'er had just been about to pick up her chopsticks when she saw the twice-cooked pork taken away. Frowning, she stared unhappily at Qin Xuan’s retreating back.
Lin'er grabbed her chopsticks and ran toward the doorway, tapping them against the floor. There, she saw Qin Xuan and Sis Ruoxi sitting in front of the computer, shoulder to shoulder, happily eating together...
Lin'er immediately wanted to throw her chopsticks away. She might as well not eat at all!
“Come back and eat,” Nan Zhiyi said. She had guessed what Qin Xuan was doing. This was the daily dining routine of two hopelessly game-addicted young people.
“Good grief...” Lin'er sighed helplessly and returned to the table.
The two of them ate in silence, both feeling rather awkward.
Lin'er and Nan Zhiyi exchanged a glance. The more they thought about it, the more indignant they became. Without hesitation, they picked up the dishes from the table and carried them into Qin Xuan’s room.
Qin Xuan stared blankly as they moved the dining area into his room, then scratched his head in confusion.
“Sis Ruoxi~” Lin'er said to Liu Ruoxi while stuffing herself with twice-cooked pork.
Liu Ruoxi merely glanced at her before turning her attention back to the computer.
Lin'er reached out fiercely and pressed the power button on the computer tower...
“If you have something to say, just say it~” Seeing what she was doing, Liu Ruoxi quickly abandoned the mouse and looked at her.
“From now on, if you’re playing games during mealtimes, I’m coming in to shut down the computer!” Lin'er declared angrily.
“I was only in the middle of this round. I was going to come out and eat as soon as it ended...” Liu Ruoxi hurriedly explained.
Qin Xuan glanced sideways at her screen. She was only at two-three.
“Then come outside and eat now! It’s too cramped in here,” Lin'er said. She released the power button, picked up the dishes from the table, and slipped out.
Holding his rice bowl, Qin Xuan suddenly had a thought.
Had he become the unlucky eighth wheel again?
