Shortly after Qin Xuan and Nan Zhiyi left, Liu Ruoxi sneaked over and pushed open the door, only to stare in astonishment at the empty bed. What?

On the other side, as soon as Qin Xuan entered the house, Qin Lin'er mysteriously ran into a small room, telling Qin Xuan to wait outside.

Seeing this, Qin Xuan became even more curious. He sprawled out on the bed, watching the room with a sense of anticipation.

"Qin Xuan~" Nan Zhiyi poked her head out from the small room, looking a bit too shy to come out.

"What are you up to?" Qin Xuan asked curiously as he stood up. "I really want to see what kind of tricks you're pulling today."

When he finally walked inside, he was stunned. "Your outfit... it’s certainly creative!"

Nan Zhiyi watched as Qin Xuan slowly reached out to pull the door shut, feeling a sense of triumph. I told you that you wouldn't be able to run away today!

Meanwhile, Liu Ruoxi paced outside Zhiyi’s room for a while. Didn't we agree that Qin Xuan was supposed to be mine tonight?! What on earth are you doing?

In the end, Liu Ruoxi didn't push the door open. She turned and headed downstairs, muttering, "Nan Zhiyi! You’ve lost your time slot for next Monday!"

Retreating to her room in frustration, Liu Ruoxi let out a helpless sigh.

...

The next morning, everyone except Qin Jianguo gathered at the dining table for breakfast. Qin Xuan asked curiously, "Uncle Nan? Where’s my dad?"

"He said he had an urgent matter and took off first thing in the morning!" Nan Zhengyi thought he was just afraid of him. He hadn't even said goodbye; he just woke up, saw a message on his phone, and discovered that Qin Jianguo had deleted him from his contacts... It made Nan Zhengyi absolutely furious.

Qin Xuan and Lin'er exchanged glances, both bewildered. "Why did you run away..."

Given the situation, with even his own father playing the coward, what was he supposed to do? Lin'er and Qin Xuan tacitly lowered their heads and continued eating their buns.

Elsewhere, at the airport departure lounge, Qin Jianguo was frantically texting Wang Manshu.

"Why are you running? You should have made things clear to them!"

"I was afraid I wouldn't be able to stop myself from clobbering them both!"

"So... you’re condoning their relationship?"

"I’m just afraid they’ll actually end up bringing me a grandson." The thought left Qin Jianguo feeling helpless. He knew how stubborn Lin'er was; she was truly capable of such a thing.

As Qin Jianguo boarded his flight, Wang Manshu sat on the living room sofa, put down her phone, and picked up a photo album nearby.

"Sigh," she murmured, looking at photos of Qin Xuan and Lin'er growing up together, always side by side. She had always felt that Lin'er was a bit too clingy. She remembered when Lin'er had her first period; she had told Qin Xuan first, terrified, and in the end, it was Qin Xuan who helped her wash her pants.

The more Wang Manshu thought about it, the more awkward she felt. If she had realized it sooner, perhaps none of this would have happened...

After finishing their meal, the group slowly made their way back to school. Nan Zhengyi watched his daughter's back and the hand she held tightly in Qin Xuan's, wishing he could rush over and kick that boy.

"Alright, alright, what are you looking at?" Yang Ying said, linking her arm with Nan Zhengyi's as Qin Xuan and the others disappeared from view.

"Sigh, let’s go try for a second child!" Nan Zhengyi said, pulling Yang Ying away.

Qin Xuan walked with Zhiyi and Lin'er holding his arms on either side. This time, Liu Ruoxi generously allowed them their behavior.

"You guys go ahead. My teacher needs to see me about something," Nan Zhiyi said as they reached the intersection downstairs. She let go of Qin Xuan's hand with a helpless shrug.

"Go on then," Qin Xuan said with a nod. The three of them headed home. Since they had already taken the morning off, they decided to go back and get some rest, as they hadn't slept until quite late the night before.

Once they were back home, Lin'er flopped directly onto the sofa.

"What's wrong?" Qin Xuan asked with a chuckle, reaching out to ruffle her hair.

Lin'er shook her head, trying to swat his hand away. "It’s all your fault for not coming to see me last night!"

"Huh?" Qin Xuan paused. "You..."

"Your brother was with Zhiyi last night, so why would he bother with you?" Liu Ruoxi remarked with a pout.

"I knew it!" Lin'er said, swatting Qin Xuan's hand away from her head in disdain.

Qin Xuan felt a bit awkward. He reached out to pinch Liu Ruoxi’s cheek before heading to his room to turn on the computer, planning to play a few games.

Lin'er turned to look at Liu Ruoxi, a sudden idea flashing in her mind. She turned over and leaned against her shoulder.

"What is it?" Liu Ruoxi asked, glancing at Lin'er with an expressionless face.

"Hehe, Sister Xi~" Lin'er coaxed, pulling a lollipop from her pocket, unwrapping it, and holding it out to her.

Liu Ruoxi didn't stand on ceremony, opening her mouth to take it. "Spit it out. I'll give you a chance, considering the bribe."

"It's just... Sister Xi, don't you think having only one day a week is too little? Sister Zhiyi gets two!" Lin'er said, using her small fist to massage Liu Ruoxi's shoulder.

"Hmm?" Liu Ruoxi looked at her awkwardly. "Can't you just give Qin Xuan a day off?"

Lin'er was stunned. He needs a day off? "He looks pretty energetic to me..."

Liu Ruoxi suddenly felt it was necessary to give her a crash course in basic biology! And Nan Zhiyi too!

Ten minutes later, Lin'er sat there with a blushing face, clutching her phone, completely stunned. She shut her mouth, not daring to bring the matter up again.

Then, under Liu Ruoxi's puzzled gaze, she stood up and walked toward Qin Xuan's room.

Qin Lin'er looked at Qin Xuan, who was engrossed in his game, and patted his shoulder solemnly.

Qin Xuan, having just selected a "Transformation Recombinator" and dreaming of a victory, turned his head in confusion.

"You've worked hard, Brother!" Lin'er said, patting his shoulder encouragingly with a flushed face before slipping out before he could react.

Qin Xuan scratched his head, bewildered. What just happened?

At the doorway, Liu Ruoxi was laughing so hard she nearly collapsed.

"Wait, don't laugh yet. What does Lin'er mean by that?" Qin Xuan asked, even more confused by her laughter.

After calming down for a moment, Liu Ruoxi mimicked Lin'er, patted Qin Xuan on the shoulder, and said with a straight face, "You've worked hard, Qin Xuan!"

She couldn't stop laughing and turned to run, but Qin Xuan was quick, pulling her onto his lap.

He pinched her nose and wouldn't let go. "Explain yourself! What have I worked hard at?"

Liu Ruoxi shook her head uncomfortably, finally breaking free. Looking at his confused expression, she burst out laughing again.

"Stop laughing!" Qin Xuan lightly tapped her.

Liu Ruoxi finally composed herself and whispered something into his ear.

Qin Xuan's expression turned strange, and he clenched his fists.

"I'll prove to you right now whether I've worked hard or not!" How could a red-blooded young man endure such an insult?

He threw Liu Ruoxi onto the bed, startling her.

"Hey, hey, it's daytime!" Now it was Liu Ruoxi’s turn to be dumbfounded. Can you at least pay attention to your image?

Qin Xuan was too irritated to care if it was daytime. "I still have to deal with the other one tonight!"
