Chapter 106: Not Going! Skipping Class
Dinner that evening was painfully awkward. Lina kept her head bowed the entire time, concentrating solely on eating.
Seeing her embarrassed expression, the others could barely hold back their laughter. Today was another day of tormenting Lina...
Lina herself was rather helpless about it. After all, she could not beat them.
After dinner, Lina sprawled across the sofa, idly fiddling with her phone. Seeing this, Nora moved over beside her.
“Is it any good? Send it to me so I can take a look.”
Was Nora really not going to let this go? Lina shot her a glance, then simply returned to her room, taking all the apples from the coffee table with her.
Nora watched her go and scratched her head. Seriously? You could have left me two!
Sitting on the edge of her bed with her feet soaking in warm water, Lina deleted it with a pang. She really could not look anymore. If she kept going, she would end up as weak as Ethan...
After soaking her feet, Lina stretched out comfortably on the bed. Perhaps she really was exhausted, because it was not long before she fell asleep.
Meanwhile, the noise coming from Ethan’s room grew louder...
Fortunately, Lina was sleeping deeply tonight. Otherwise, they would have had to put everything back on the bookshelf again.
Nora sprawled across the bed, browsing the online shop Roxy had sent her and preparing to choose a few more pretty things.
But as she lay there, she kept hearing strange noises.
Curious, she sat up, walked to Ethan’s door, and pushed it open.
“You two know you’re disturbing the neighbors, right?” Nora suddenly switched on the light, startling Ethan badly.
“Nora! Is there something wrong with you?” Roxy snatched up the clothes beside her, crumpled them into a ball, and threw them at Nora.
She hastily pulled the blanket over herself. I’m definitely going to beat you tomorrow. Even Lina knows better than to come in, yet you’re still being so thoughtless!
“Oh!” Nora caught the clothes and curiously spread them open for a look. Not bad. They’re quite pretty...
She tossed them back onto the bed and sauntered out of the room.
“Should I turn off the light?” Nora asked, staring at them curiously.
“Turn it off!” Roxy was barely holding herself back. She felt like getting out of bed and beating this woman.
“Coming right up!”
The room went dark at once, and Roxy finally felt a little less awkward.
But only a few seconds later, Nora switched the light back on.
“Should I close the door, too?”
“I—”
Roxy sat up and reached for the slipper lying on the floor.
“Sorry, sorry! Carry on!” Seeing that Roxy was truly about to attack her, Nora stopped teasing, shut the door and turned off the light before slipping away.
Roxy set down the slipper and sat on the bed, fuming as she wondered how she would pound Nora tomorrow.

“All right, all right. Go to sleep.” Ethan sat up and patted her shoulder. After Nora’s interruption, he no longer felt much like continuing either.
Lying back in Ethan’s arms, Roxy grew angrier the more she thought about it. With a fire smoldering inside her, she pushed Ethan back onto the bed again. Looking at his calm face, she could not resist leaning over to kiss him.
“Keep going!”
...
The next morning at the dining table, Nora watched Roxy’s eyes with trepidation. She hid at the far end of the sofa, eating a steamed bun by herself. At that moment, she was utterly cowed.
After breakfast, Roxy stretched contentedly.
“Nora, come here. I want to ask you something.”
As she spoke, Roxy rose and headed toward her room.
This was it. Nora knew she was finished for the day. She glanced at the bun in her hand, stuffed the last few bites into her mouth, and thought, Today, I’m going to poke the tiger’s behind!
Then Ethan and Lina heard Nora’s screams from inside the room. They exchanged a glance.
How tragic!
Before long, Roxy emerged, smoothing her hair and shaking out her hands contentedly. This was far more satisfying than beating Lina...
Nora was left sprawled across the bed, clutching her backside.
“You really don’t hold back!”
“Tsk, tsk, tsk.” Seeing Roxy return to change clothes, Lina ran to the doorway and looked at Nora with sympathy.
“What are you staring at? Get lost, get lost!”
Nora caught Lina laughing at her from the doorway.
Lina only grew happier at her angry expression. As long as she was not the one being beaten, everything was fine!
...
On the way to school, Nora remembered Ethan’s miserable expression the night before. Then she glanced at the murderous-looking Roxy beside him and did not even dare to hold his arm.
Still, when they reached the fork in the road, she could not resist kissing Ethan on the cheek. This time, Roxy did not pursue the matter.
The three of them sat in the classroom waiting for class to begin. Lina held Ethan’s hand and compared it with the size of her own.
“Big brother?”
Lina placed Ethan’s hand on her thigh and called to him softly.
“What is it?” Ethan turned his head, paying no attention to what she was doing.
“You...” Lina hesitated, biting her lip. Then, somewhat bashfully, she asked, “Would you mind if I looked at those things?”
Ethan froze for a moment. “Of course not. It’s normal for you to be curious at your age.”
“Mhm, big brother, do you like them? I’ll send you some!”
As Lina spoke, she reached for her phone.
“Stop, stop! I don’t need any of that...” Ethan glanced toward Roxy as he spoke.
Lina immediately deflated.
So this is you showing off in front of me?!
After classes ended, Ethan did not feel like going home to cook. The group ate dinner in the cafeteria, then Roxy and Lina went home while Ethan and Nora still had an elective class to attend.
After eating, Nora pulled Ethan toward the old library. There was no one else there today either, and the two of them sat by the window, enjoying the evening breeze.

Clinging to Ethan’s arm, Nora had no intention of letting go.
“Ethan...” she murmured, resting her head against his shoulder.
“Hmm?” Ethan turned his head and looked at Nora, who had tilted her face up toward him. Understanding what she wanted, he kissed her cheek and pulled away.
But Nora was not satisfied. She simply stared at him without looking away.
Ethan sighed helplessly and lowered his lips to hers. This time, he did not pull back, because Nora had already wrapped her arms around his head...
Several minutes later, Nora could no longer breathe. At last, she released Ethan and collapsed against him, gasping for air.
“You jerk! You even...” Nora slapped him once.
Looking down at the woman lying in his arms, Ethan reached out and pinched her cheek. Nora stared blankly for a moment, then closed her eyes, suddenly wanting to sleep.
“All right, class is about to start.” Ethan ruffled her hair and smiled.
Nora had nearly fallen asleep, but his touch woke her again.
“I’m not going. I’m skipping class.” She remained sprawled there, unwilling to move, and said it casually.
“Are you sure?” Ethan remembered the injustice of being made to stand outside as punishment by that old professor last time.
“Mhm!” Nora nodded firmly with her eyes closed.
“Then what are we doing here? Let’s go back,” Ethan said reasonably.
“But I want to spend some time alone with you!” Nora answered gloomily, staring at Ethan, who seemed utterly incapable of reading the mood.
Seeing her pitiful expression, Ethan felt like laughing for some reason.
“All right.”
As darkness fell, the old buildings meant that there were only a few streetlights nearby, and even fewer that could illuminate the windows. Inside the pitch-black old library, only the sound of their breathing remained.
Ethan wanted to turn on the lights, but Nora would not let him. She took his hand and began to toy with it, gritting her teeth as though she had finally made up her mind.
Then Ethan could not help lowering his head in confusion.
You...
Who would have thought you were this sort of person, Nora? You’re rather cute.
When the two of them finally left the library, Nora straightened her slightly rumpled clothes. Embarrassed, she slipped her arm through Ethan’s and kept her head lowered, not daring to look at him.
Roxy was right after all!
Ethan really had no idea how to control his strength!
