Qin Xuan sat at the computer, still feeling Liu Ruoxi’s gaze upon him; it made him feel a bit uneasy.

“Do you like it?” Liu Ruoxi stepped forward, sat in the spot Nan Zhiyi had just vacated, and wrapped her arms around Qin Xuan’s neck, asking with a beaming smile.

“This… it’s alright,” Qin Xuan said, looking at her and awkwardly raising a hand to rub his nose.

“Hmph.” Liu Ruoxi was halfway through standing up when Qin Xuan pulled her back down.

“Let go, I need to go wash up!” Liu Ruoxi said, holding the hand that was resting on her waist.

Qin Xuan loosened his grip upon hearing this, but Liu Ruoxi remained seated without moving. You tell me to let go, and I do, but when I say no, why don’t you listen?

Seeing that Qin Xuan made no further move, Liu Ruoxi reached up and tapped her own cheek. Qin Xuan understood instantly; he leaned in and gave her a peck on the cheek. Only then did she get up, satisfied. Seeing her leave, Qin Xuan quietly clicked to start another round; he’d been distracted by Zhiyi earlier and felt a bit unconvinced of his performance.

As soon as Liu Ruoxi stepped out, she went to Nan Zhiyi’s room, where she found her still looking at something in the mirror on her vanity.

“You move pretty fast, huh!” Liu Ruoxi sat on the bed and playfully pulled something out from under the covers.

“That’s for sure!” Nan Zhiyi replied without turning around, still pouting. Suddenly, she caught sight of Liu Ruoxi’s actions in the mirror.

“Hey! That’s not mine!” She spun around, reaching out to snatch it back, but Liu Ruoxi pinned her down.

“You’re quite the player, aren’t you! Is this Lin’er’s? You two…”

“She gave it to me! What are you thinking?” Nan Zhiyi lay on the bed, feeling hopeless, sensing that Ruoxi’s tone had taken a strange turn.

“Hmm?” It was the first time Liu Ruoxi had learned that Qin Lin’er had these kinds of things. She pondered for a moment, let go of Nan Zhiyi, tossed the item back to her, and stood up to head toward Lin’er’s room.

Nan Zhiyi looked at the item in her hand, feeling embarrassed; she’d worn it last night and hadn’t washed it yet.

Liu Ruoxi stood before Lin’er’s door, wiggling the handle, only to find it locked. She shouted inside, “Qin Lin’er! Open the door!”

Inside, Qin Lin’er had just finished tidying her clothes. Hearing Sister Xi’s voice, she thought, *I’m about to get clobbered! What did I do now?*

After a moment of thought, she opened the door just a crack and peered out at Liu Ruoxi. “Sister Xi~ what’s up?”

“Obviously, I have something to discuss!” Liu Ruoxi pushed the door open, scanned the room, and looked at Qin Lin’er curiously. She held out her hand. “Where is it?”

“Where is what…” Qin Lin’er blinked, stunned. *Is there something of mine you’re actually interested in?*

“That thing you gave to Zhiyi!” Liu Ruoxi raised an eyebrow, watching her curiously.

Qin Lin’er couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time: “I’ve already worn that!”

“...Then, can you send me the link?”

...

Before long, Liu Ruoxi emerged from Qin Lin’er’s room, looking quite pleased. She checked the dozen or so links Lin’er had sent to her phone, wondering if the girl had gone a bit off the rails. It was a pity about all her own things—she’d thrown them away before ever getting to use them.

Once Liu Ruoxi had left, Qin Lin’er grabbed a pillow and ran to Nan Zhiyi’s room. Seeing Nan Zhiyi lying on the bed licking her lips, she couldn’t help but be curious. “Sister Zhiyi? Did a mosquito bite you?”

Nan Zhiyi rolled her eyes at her; she knew exactly what she was doing! “Why did you come over here?”

“Hehe,” Qin Lin’er threw the pillow onto the bed and hopped up to lie beside her. “I just thought I’d discuss some things with you!”

“What could there possibly be to discuss with you?”

“Oh, come on, tell me the details about you and my brother!” Qin Lin’er grabbed her hand, looking expectant.

“I can’t tell you that. If you want to know, go ask Ruoxi,” Nan Zhiyi deflected the question. She wasn’t about to get involved in that!

“Fine…” Qin Lin’er sighed. If she asked Sister Xi, she’d definitely get clobbered.

Liu Ruoxi finished washing up, intending to chat with Nan Zhiyi, but when she walked in, she saw Qin Lin’er and Nan Zhiyi lying on the bed playing on their phones.

“Sorry, I’ll leave you to it!” Liu Ruoxi said, turning to leave, but Nan Zhiyi called out to her.

“Sister Xi! There’s something in the bottom drawer, you can take it,” Nan Zhiyi said, pointing toward the desk.

“Hmm?” Liu Ruoxi walked over, pulled open the drawer, and looked at the small box in her hand. This… She looked up at Nan Zhiyi in confusion.

“Take it, take it, it’s no use to me!” Nan Zhiyi waved her off.

Liu Ruoxi waited until Qin Lin’er wasn’t looking, then tucked it directly into her pocket, giving Nan Zhiyi an appreciative look before leaving.

Back in her room, Liu Ruoxi tossed the item onto the bed, where Qin Xuan, who was still doubting his luck, picked it up.

“This…” A smile curled the corner of Qin Xuan’s mouth as he looked at Liu Ruoxi with a strange expression.

“What are you looking at!” Perhaps feeling embarrassed by his gaze, Liu Ruoxi glared at him fiercely.

“Hey? How come there’s one missing?” Qin Xuan opened the box to check.

“I don’t know. Zhiyi gave it to me; she probably got curious and played with one,” Liu Ruoxi said, changing into her pajamas right in front of him.

Qin Xuan suddenly remembered the matching set he’d been tricked into buying. “I have some too, I think I brought them.” He rummaged through the bag on the chair, and sure enough, they were still there.

Liu Ruoxi watched as Qin Xuan held up the two boxes. *Oh, so you think you’re pretty clever, huh?!*

...

The next day, Qin Xuan was in the kitchen making breakfast, his waist feeling a bit sore. Liu Ruoxi was still sleeping soundly. He fried a few eggs, planned to boil a bowl of noodles for each of them, and specifically added an extra egg for Liu Ruoxi.

But when he set the table, none of them had gotten up yet! He could understand Liu Ruoxi, but what about Zhiyi and Lin’er?

Qin Xuan went to Zhiyi’s room and found both of them fast asleep. Even though their quilt had been kicked to the floor, they hadn’t woken up. They were only wearing thin nightgowns—he worried they might catch a cold!

“Time to wake up,” Qin Xuan said, sitting on the edge of the bed and pinching Nan Zhiyi’s cheek. It was the first time he’d noticed how cute she looked when she was asleep—much better than Qin Lin’er, who was sleeping with her mouth slightly agape. Qin Lin’er had never had a decent sleeping posture since she was a child; his phone was full of her various sleeping poses, and he had no idea how she managed to sleep like that.

Nan Zhiyi woke up groggily, yawned, and saw Qin Xuan. Her eyes lit up, though she immediately became worried about her appearance.

“Get up and eat your noodles,” Qin Xuan said.

“Mm!” Nan Zhiyi nodded, then tilted her face toward him as a hint.

“I…” Seeing her expectant look, he leaned down and gave her a fleeting kiss.

Nan Zhiyi was a bit dissatisfied, but seeing Qin Xuan already walking out, she had no choice but to get up.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk!” Qin Lin’er had woken up at some point and was watching Nan Zhiyi with a pout.

“What’s with the ‘tsk’!” Nan Zhiyi snapped, turning around while changing her clothes.

“Nothing! I’m just jealous, okay!” Qin Lin’er sprawled on the bed, not wanting to get up at all!

Nan Zhiyi smiled at her. “Be jealous then. There’ll be plenty more of this ‘dog food’ to go around later.”
